It was a pleasure to be part of this amazing hostel — amazing people and staff as well. I highly recommend it, and this is the kind of review you might be looking for. The managers and receptionists are the best: super friendly and always willing to help with anything. I would definitely like to come back one day, and I plan to. I'm grateful to everyone at the hostel; I truly believe it was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Great job to everyone, and good luck!

Volunteering at Avenues Hostel was a chance to always do again! As you get more involved in the tasks to do, you also get the chance to da bit of everything in all of the areas -which always comes as a great chance if you enjoy working in different fields too! There's is a minimum amount of work to do, and an option to da bit more in case if you like connecting with the guests as well as the staff, who day by day you get to know and make the job very easy going and fun! Definitely recommend!

My experience at the hostel was good, and the location is the best part. Being on a main street makes it very easy to move around Budapest. The housekeeping team doesn't speak English, but with a translator and a smile everything works. Tasks are simple: beds, laundry, breakfast or dinner shifts. Food is fine at first but gets repetitive and lacks fruit and vegetables. Doing only the 28 hours gave me time to rest, go out and meet locals. I recommend it, and Budapest is a beautiful—though expensive—city.

El hostel fue nuestro primer voluntariado y estamos profundamente agradecidos por la experiencia. El ambiente entre voluntarios es increíble: desde el inicio todos fueron muy acogedores y pudimos conectar con viajeros de muchos países. Las tareas son sencillas, están bien explicadas y se cumplen las horas acordadas, también son muy flexibles con los horarios y dias de descanso. Tunde, Scilla y Mate nos recibieron de la mejor manera. Además, el hostal ofrece excelentes actividades gratuitas. Nos vamos felices y muy agradecidos con el hostel y Budapest

I stayed for 2 months and 1 week, and overall my experience was very good. A few issues came up, but we were able to solve them calmly and everything worked out fine. I'm grateful for the experience and recommend the stay, and I would definitely return.

El hostel es un muy buen Hostel para voluntariar, al ser voluntarios latinos en su mayoría hace que se pueda formar un lindo grupo desde que llegas al hostel. Las tareas son sencillas, por momentos puede hacerse pesado pero después de unos días le agarras la mano.

Due to personal reasons I had to cut my stay short, but during the few days I was at the hostel I felt welcomed and cared for by the hostel's team and volunteers. The agreed hours were respected, and I liked that they always want you to feel comfortable with the amount of hours and workload. I just have nothing but words of appreciation for everyone, specially for Csilla who's like a mother to everyone, and Maté who always made me feel welcome. I hope to come back one day, but in the meantime, I wish all of you guys the best!

Sou muito agradecida a experiência! Os voluntários fazem um pouco de cada turno (housekeeping, bar, lavanderia, preparação, reposição e limpeza do café da manhã, camas, ajuda com a receção, serve o jantar) Você pode pedir pra fazer os turnos que se identifica mais e eles são flexíveis quanto a isso. Adorei fazer os turnos do bar. Eles oferecem bônus e pagam por horas extras, o que pode ajudar pra pessoas que querem economizar, mas você também pode escolher não fazer horas extras pra ter mais tempo livre. Os voluntários tem um apartamento separado dos clientes, o que é algo confortável.

The hostel is a great place! The work requires dedication, but everything is well organized and people are always supportive. The hostel itself is cozy, very well located, and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with travelers from all over the world. I truly appreciate everything I learned here and the amazing people I met along the way. I definitely recommend this experience!
