L'Expérience

We are looking for a female volunteer to help with daily cleaning tasks, such as the daily general clean ,bathrooms and kitchens,always keeping everything organized and in its right place. Making beds . Welcoming guests and communicating with them. Helping with the beach camp and surfing with our guests . Washing wetsuits at the end of the day .

I spent an incredible 7 weeks in this surf lodge. The Hall family is very welcoming and funny. I really enjoyed my time with them and the guests and have many wonderful, funny and warm moments to remember. I will miss the afternoons on the beach and am grateful that I was able to improve my surfing skills considerably along the way (you don't have surf lessons, so you should ideally have surfing experience). Be aware that you have to clean. You will also look after the guests to create a family feeling. If you feel part of the lodge, you will have an unforgettable time here.

After some really difficult experiences in the past ,it was a pleasure to have you with us ,you learnt quickly and made September and October so much easier for us all .

We love how you interacted with the guests everyday and evening this was exactly what we ask ,as we host the most amazing people from all over the world they are worth it and so much fun .

We also loved how you were very willing to work ,I do make it clear that this is a cleaning position at the start .

The summer months my work is very intense , thats why I would like to give volunteers this oportunity to come and help ,in the high season it is difficult to give more factual information as I simply do not have the time .

I think the description here on world packers , my to do ,check list and being shown what to do is very helpful and I am always there to be asked;-)

We will miss you a lot and you know you are more than welcome to come and help us anytime in the future ,we do hope to see you again .

Had the best time with my first volunteering experience at this lodge, it's a magical place that the family Hall had built up here. I was welcomed after the first seconds of my arrival and felt like a part of the family. The tasks are really easy, they don't feel like work at all and if you don't understand something or feel insecure, you can always ask again, communication was super easy. I made so many friends there from all over the world and definitely improved my surfing. Will miss the afternoons at the beach camp, the surfing and all those funny moments in the lodge with the guests :)

My stay at the Peniche Surf Lodge was fabulous! Claire, Duncan and Dane are a loving family. Peniche is a beautiful town with a lot of things to do and see. One of my favorite activities was to go with the guests and the family to the beach to surf. Improving my surfing skills was definitely a bonus! The daily tasks to complete were very easy and quick to do and Claire was also very helpful in teaching me how to clean better. This experience left me a beautiful memory and above all it taught me a lot. I hope to see the Hall family soon and who knows maybe go back to volunteer there again :)

My stay at the Lodge was great! Claire, Duncan and Dane are a lovely family who've created an awesome place in Peniche. The work is a few hours a day and very simple. The Lodge itself is comfortable and very nice. It is a great exchange, and learning how to surf was a bonus! Peniche is a lovely town and the Lodge is in a great seafront location. I will really miss this team and everything Peniche offers!

This is an amazing place! Perfect location! Right by the ocean and so close to grocery stores. Surfing was awesome and Peniche is a beautiful city(: Claire and her family are very sweet and very hardworking! Highly recommend!
