There is something truly special about LSH. It feels like a home away from home, so much so that I extended my stay. The team immediately made me feel welcome and the connections I've made with staff and other volunteers are ones I'll remember forever (Rodrigo, Bia, Manduxo, Julia & Ana: 🫶🏼 & will miss u guys) The work is very fair and they accommodate your schedule as much as possible. The 3 days off made exploring Portugal much more possible. Absolutely recommend and will definitely be coming back to visit!

Absolutely incredible experience. I felt extremely welcome from the moment I walked in the door. I was super nervous with this being my first volunteering experience, but everyone made me feel right at home. The energy of the place is unmatched every day felt like a perfect mix of community, adventure, and relaxation.

This was my first volunteering and I couldn't have wished for a more warm-hearted and welcoming place than LSH! Rodrigo, Bia and Manduxo were super friendly and supportive, and the time we spent together with the volunteers was really fun. The work responsibilities were manageable and flexible, and schedule was always respected. Volunteering at LSH and living so close to the beach was fulfilling and truly an eye-opening experience! It left me with amazing memories and no doubt I'll be coming back in the future :)

I had the most incredible month with the hostel. The conditions, the work and all our responsibilities were super manageable and there was a great balance of working hours and time off. My time at the hostel was so fun and the proximity to the beach and access to surf rentals and lessons made it even better. I made amazing connections with travellers and locals here that I will always treasure. I highly recommend volunteering here :)

This was my first volunteering experience and it honestly couldn't have been better! The work was easy and the schedule was always respected. Everyone in the team was super welcoming and kind I felt comfortable from day one. The four weeks went by so fast, and If you ever get the chance to volunteer here, I can only recommend it!

I cannot put in words how amazing my experience at the hostel was. From the moment I got there I felt so included and welcomed by everyone and I go back home with a new family. Rodrigo, Bea and Manducho are always so nice and helpful and became true friends and they take great care of all the volunteers <3 The work is easy and the hours are always respected. If I didn't have commitments at my home I'd definitely have extended my stay, and I think that says everything! Also being so close to the beach and beign able to surf is incredible! I'd always recommend this to everyone :)

I absolutely love my stay at the hostel! The shifts were always easy. Morning shift had to make breakfast and prepare the beds and in the afternoon/evening shift you had to do reception work. But you could always relax during your shifts, it was never had work. Everyone is so welcoming, so friendly, it really feels like a huge family. Manduxo, Bia und Rodrigo always organise everything really smoothly and you'll have a lot of free time before and after your shifts too, with 3 days off per week. Breakfast, Surf lessons and Surf materials are included during your stay too.Thank you all!

Wonderful experience!! The hostel is very nice, in a quiet area, and offers many activities. The atmosphere is super relaxing and fun, you have also lots of free time. A big thank you to the staff and all the volunteers, I felt at home🤙

I have had the best summer working at LSH! I met the most amazing people and got the chance to explore such a beautiful city. The work could be busy at times but the team made it worth it. Also having the chance to learn how to surf and participate in the free yoga classes was such a great perk. I will miss everyone there so much especially Manduxo and I can't recommend the experience enough.

My time at the hostel was incredible!☺️ Everyone was so friendly, the work was fair and easy to pick up, and the managers and staff were super nice and relaxed. I loved it so much that I even extended my stay :) I formed deep friendships, and saying goodbye was really hard. I highly recommend this experience and can't wait to go back!
