My volunteering experience was absolutely amazing! I learned so much and had the chance to meet many incredible people. The accommodations were super comfortable, making me feel right at home, and the work itself was engaging and deeply satisfying. My host went above and beyond to make this experience unforgettable—taking us to explore so many beautiful parts of Puerto Rico. It was truly a perfect blend of meaningful work, cultural exploration, and personal growth. I'm so grateful for this opportunity!

I had a great time! The location is ideal for exploring San Juan. Made friends with the other volunteers the tasks were completed by 12pm most days, we'd have lunch then you had the rest of the day to rest explore etc. The heat was a lot some days but I got used to the fans to cool off. There are bikes to explore. Grocery store and planet fitness nearby. Ali took us on a tour and always sent recommendations of places to go.

Not sure what happened but was told to find new accommodation the day of. I was invited to come earlier due to another person leaving early due to an accident or something. I did. Helped clean up a project over 2 days and left a plate I was still eating at the table between tasks was addressed about that, it may bring bugs so I agreed and cleaned up. After visiting a friend I was told it wouldn't work out and I had to pack my things and leave that day. Alicia did at least offer me a ride but sent me in information on homeless shelters and never explain why things wouldn't work.

Brittany’s placement ended on her first official day due to reliability and house-rule issues. On arrival, she left dishes in a shared area despite reminders to clean up; her door-frame painting was incomplete, she scheduled an interview with another host during volunteer hours; took a house bicycle off-site and was unavailable the next morning for a paired task, resulting in a no-show. For these reasons we ended the placement. We wish Brittany the best moving forward.

My experience here at the home house has been amazing !! Ali is a wonderful host always making sure you are taken care of and comfortable with your task, and making sure we have abundance of food . She really cares for the volunteers . The house is located near a lot of stuff and the city so very walkable . The task are not timed or specific times just whenever you finish so it can take you from 30 min to 4 hours just depending on the task . She assigns them to you the day before . Overall Ali is truly kind, compassionate, hardworking and has amazing visions for the future .

I loved this experience! The host is super kind and respectful of others. I enjoy my task there and I can see the host vision of this place and it's super exciting to be a part of it. The area is super the home and there so much to do in town. I would totally recommend this opportunity!

Muchas gracias Ali por esta experiencia! Estoy muy feliz por haber contribuido y ayudado a Ali con tareas del día a día como limpiar, jardinería, pintar... se me hizo sencillo y ligero el trabajo, en parte gracias a que Ali es muy buena anfitriona y se esfuerza porque estemos bien y atendidos. La localización de la casa es genial, el barrio es uno de los más artísticos (lo cual me encantó). Disponen de bicis para usar. Tener también un cuarto propio y cocina fue un detalle genial. Recomiendo muchísimo este voluntariado si quieres formar parte de la comunidad y colaborar de forma directa!

La experiencia con Ale fue de lo mejor. Me sentí integrado y escuchado y conocí Puerto Rico desde una perspectiva local que es lo que buscaba. Sin duda volvería y estoy seguro Ale desarrollará sus iniciativas a través del tiempo

Ali has been very nice. As first as I arrived even it was 5am on Sunday, I found a comfortable bed with sheets and pillows. The house is located in a good position from Airport and Beaches, I really liked it. My task was plastering the walls and I had so much fun with my girlfriend and other guests helping. The hours and days were flexible and we had time to work and at the same time enjoying the nature and the city. The house is getting better and she is making some last adjustments but is very the home land with a good kitchen. She gave us food during lunch and she has been very nice.

Ale's place was my first volunteering experience and I'm glad I came here. She's very communicative and replies really fast when you have a question, don't hesitate to ask. As independent she's pretty busy but she will make sure to come by the house, give you instructions or material if you need and bring some food for the volunteers! The beach is a 30 min walk from the house and there are plenty of cafes and stores in the area. I spent a week alone in the house and another week with other volunteers and felt safe both times! The locals are nice so don't hesitate to say hi!!

My experience with Ali was exceptional. She is incredibly kind and always willing to offer helpful advice. Her extensive knowledge of the area and local events is really helpful. As the project leader, she demonstrated flexibility and unwavering support. Our initial call with her played a crucial role in confirming our decision to pursue this experience. I recommend you to ask her as many questions as she is open to respond anything. The accommodation is conveniently located within a 20-25 minute walk from the beach, with some stores nearby for added convenience.
