I had three amazing weeks here and I would have been happy to stay much longer. Sophie and her family are so kind and welcoming and they've created a beautiful home filled with good food and interesting conversations. The work was physically demanding but I liked having my whole evenings free while I was able to learn a lot about gardening and cooking from Sophie. The tent was great too, tall enough to stand up in and with a full bed frame and mattress, perfect for a good night's sleep. Glastonbury and the wider Somerset region is so beautiful and a great place to visit.

Staying at Sophie's house was an amazing experience – now I truly understand why everyone loves it so much! Sophie and her family are incredible: so kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. They create a relaxed environment where volunteers have freedom and feel right at home. To future Worldpackers: please take good care of this place and the wonderful people here. They truly deserve it!

I had a lovely time there! The family is my soul family. I planned to stay for 3 weeks, but I ended up staying for almost 3 months. It's a wonderful place if you're at a stage in life where you want to rediscover yourself or explore your spirituality. The tasks were enjoyable and I learned a lot, I got to see baby plants grow and really connect with the earth. You don't need to have experience, but it's definitely better if you're proactive. Sometimes, you have to take the initiative and look around to see what tasks are needed. It's one of the best experiences in my life. I was never bored!

Where do I begin? Staying with Sophie and her family has been a truly transformational experience— I felt integrated into the family and larger community, hours were always respected and tasks were varied, the other volunteers were fun and friendly, and the food was phenomenal. I feel blessed by this place and very grateful it was my first volunteer experience at the outset of a long journey. I will miss Merlin, Guinevere, and Gizmo/Lancelot and hope to return soon ❤️🌈🧚🏼

I loved my experience at the project Garden! Sophie and her family made me feel incredibly welcome. The place is spacious with a huge garden. Tasks were simple, and hours were respected yet flexible. The city is picturesque with a unique, spiritual vibe. I found the peace and harmony I needed. Sophie's food was delicious, and the electric bike they lent me was super helpful for exploring. I had my own room initially, then a tent to myself. Sleeping in a tent was a new experience, but it was pleasant because Sophie always made sure I was comfortable. I even learned about gardening. I recommend it

Staying with Sophie and her family was a truly wonderful experience. They are incredibly welcoming and warm, and even with their busy schedules, they always take the time to talk with you and genuinely care about how you're doing. They are also very patient and encouraging when it comes to teaching gardening tasks. Overall, it's a great environment to practice English and feel at home.

My Experience at the project was ultimately positive... the food was amazing (Sophie is a wonderful cook and a kind and lovely person), the garden is small but there is always something to do and the hours and days of work are very much flexible! I would 100% recommend this experience, but with some caution to their family businesses which are based on extremist spiritual and alternative beliefs (they do not push any of this onto the volunteers) but it was a bit too much for me - the best way I can put it, is that Glastonbury just isn't for me. I simply should have done more research :)

It was the most confortable place that I've been since I began backpacking. Sophie is always friendly and she really tries to make your experience the best possible. The work is flexible and the food is delicious. They also borrowed me a bicycle so I could ride in Glastonburry, it was fun.
