Island Life Hostel is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and responsible volunteer to join our front desk team in the heart of the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo! This is the perfect role for a backpacker or traveler who wants to experience local life, meet people from around the world, and be part of a fun social hostel environment.

Ce que vous offrez

30 heures d'aide par semaine

Administration: Aider avec les systèmes de réservation et les paiements.

Réception: Aider aux enregistrements, départs et assistance aux clients.

Service de bar: Préparer et servir des boissons et aider à maintenir l'inventaire des boissons.

Nettoyage: Aider à nettoyer la cuisine, les chambres, les salles de bain et les espaces communs.

Ce que vous recevez

2 jours de congé par semaine

Dortoir partagé: Vous aurez un lit dans une chambre partagée, ce qui signifie que vous partagerez la même chambre avec d'autres voyageurs.

Petit-déjeuner: Vous avez droit à un petit-déjeuner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Laverie Gratuite: Vous pouvez utiliser notre buanderie librement.

Accès Internet Rapide: Internet haut débit pour travailler à distance

Entre 18 et 45 ans

Détails du programme

We have been open for over 11 years now and have well and truly cemented ourselves as the best hostel on the island... Santo Domingo normally the start and the end of people trip in Dominican Republic. It's great as we always have a constant flow of travelers coming and going at the start and end of their trip - you really do meet people from all over the world.
Working the front desk you be the face of the hostel working in a team of around 5 volunteers.

Activités et horaires

Your role includes:
- Welcoming guests and checking them in/out
- Answering questions about the hostel and the area/island
- Creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
- Assisting with light tasks around the reception/bar and common areas
- Helping serve drinks at the hostel bar, a chance to practice your bar tending skills!

Règles

We are laid back but there are set tasks that need to be completed to ensure the hostel runs smoothly - staff and guests need to get on in harmony. Absolutely no drugs, yes weed is a drug and is highly illegal here. You represent the hostel so your behavior reflects on us.
