Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing experience! The place feels incredibly homey — everyone, from the staff to the volunteers and guests, was so kind and welcoming. The hostel is very well organized, full of good vibes, and there's always something fun going on. Many guests would say this is the best hostel in the world, and honestly, I agree! They really gave me a home away from home, and I'll always be grateful for the time I spent here. I'd love to come back one day, and I wish the whole team all the best — you guys are doing something really special!

Amé el voluntariado en el hostel, realmente ha sido mi mejor experiencia. Cada día, con las actividades y al descubrir la ciudad, me daba cuenta de lo hermosa que es. El ambiente junto con el staff fue increíble: todos son muy cordiales y amables, me hicieron sentir como en casa. Las actividades fueron divertidas, dinámicas y me permitieron conocer a personas de diferentes partes del mundo. Sin duda, una experiencia que repetiría mil veces.

I absolutely loved my time here! Everyone is so nice and welcoming, it really feels like home. The manager, Kris, is awesome and helps with everything I mess up. The breakfast is amazing, and Oaxaca is such a beautiful city. I'd definitely come back! 💛

I stayed at the hostel for a month and loved it! The work is very fair(only reception work and helping with activities at night) and the agreements are very clear. Everyone running the hostel is so welcoming and fun. The volunteers who I got to share my time with as well really made my experience lovely. The common areas became my living room and I felt so comfortable there. I love Oaxaca city as well, the perfect city to stay for a month and get to know the area and a little about Oaxaqueño culture. Thank you so much for everything!!

Fabi y Jaime son los mejores anfitriones del mundo. No solo son grandes personas, que nos abrieron las puertas de su casa, si no que fueron muy generosos. Tanto en el Hostal Huitzilin de Puerto Escondido como en el hostel de Oaxaca tienen un gran equipo humano. Gracias a Pili, Nico y Kris por manejar los espacios y siempre abogar para que estuviesemos cómodos. Las tareas eran muy sencillas y los horarios super flexibles, siempre priorizando que funcionara bien para ambas partes. Conocí otros voluntarios maravillosos que hoy puedo llamar amigos. GRACIAS y más GRACIAS.

Esta fue una experiencia hermosa. El equipo del hostal siempre me hicieron sentir en casa, hay una armonía muy bella en el hostal que se contagia entre todos, los huéspedes, voluntarios y stuff Los desayunos son increíbles cada día Las actividades divertidas Los turnos muy cómodos y sencillos Muchas, muchas gracias por esta oportunidad tan increíble Recomendado al 100% Espero volver pronto como huesped o voluntaria, ha sido hermoso

El mejor hostal en el que he voluntariado :) lx equipx es una maravilla. Las actividades de pronto eran varias, dependiendo la cantidad de huéspedes, pero siempre se tiene apoyo, es muy importante la comunicación, integración y el trabajo en equipo, mantener una actitud amigable y de respeto. Me sentí como una huésped durante mi tiempo y la diversión y novedades no faltaron. Recomiendo mucho este espacio para quienes quieren pasar un tiempo en Oaxaca.

¡Me gustaría agradecer a Kris y a todo el equipo por esta fabulosa estancia en Oaxaca! El trabajo es accesible, los horarios se respetan y la comida es muy buena! Si buscas descubrir la región de Oaxaca este es el mejor lugar para ir. ¡Sólo puedo recomendarte que te unas a la familia! Mejoré mi español y pude aprender mucho sobre cultura y folclore. La habitación es muy grande. Los voluntarios se ayudan entre sí, siempre hay buen humor, es realmente un placer trabajar.

I had a great experience at the hostel! The work was reasonable and pretty easy and the owners and staff are very friendly, especially Kris, the manager. The hostel is very nice and the breakfast and daily activities are amazing. I would definitely recommend volunteering here!

My experience at the hostel was amazing. The staff is simply the best, not only because they prepare a delicious breakfast every day (hehe), but also because they are truly kind and caring. The most interesting part was that during my shift time, I had the chance to take part in experiences related to Mexican culture-whether by helping out or simply for the pleasure of being involved. Among these, Mole Night and Mezcal Night were definitely my favorites. The tasks were always clear, and the shifts were well-organized. Oaxaca is truly beautiful and deserves to be discovered slowly :)
