I enjoyed my experience at the hostel. The work was reasonable and as agreed on. I really loved meeting and getting to know the other volunteers. The hosts were flexible, however I think there could have been better communication between the hosts and the volunteers. Overall, it was a great opportunity to meet people from all over and experience London in an affordable way.

I want to thank Laura, Wilsa, Marrie, and Anton for being kind and attentive, but I have some concerns to share. My shared room was really messy, had a bad smell, and the bathroom was terrible. Task distribution was also unbalanced, with one person receiving a short task for the whole day, while others had four. I mentioned this specific case to the supervisor, but nothing changed. This caused workload disparity and some volunteers to feel disheartened. Despite these issues, I had a positive experience and met kind people. I hope that my feedback helps to improve future volunteer experiences.

We are glad to hear that you have a positive experience at Torquay House.

And thank you for your feedback, as we love hearing different points of view from our volunteers to provide a more rewarding experience for the present and future participants. But unfortunately, this time the management team didn't hear any complaints coming from you.

But thanks to your review we decided to create a cleaning rota in the boys' room to keep track of the cleaning. As the volunteers are the ones responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their rooms.

Regarding the cleaning tasks, all the housekeeping volunteers need to volunteer for 20 per week, normally dived in 5 days, 4h per day, with 2 days off in a row. But in exceptional circumstances, we adapt the timetable to the volunteers' needs. In the case that you mentioned, that volunteer was working more days during the week but fewer hours per day.

My days at the hostel's house were very nice. I recommend this place because my experience was amazing! the hostel team was attentive, kind and always helped me with my questions (thanks everyone ☺️). The dorm is for women only. the girls who shared a room with me are adorable. In fact, the volunteer boys are adorable too. The tasks are easy. And It's in a great location for exploring the main tourist attractions. Many thanks to the members of the hostel for giving me this experience! See you soon! kind regards, Mariana! 🤗

My experience in the hostel has been amazing. The staff is kind and they always help you with what you need. I could meet people from all over the world and even share room with my friend Joseli! If you want to know London this is the perfect place to stay. Thank you Laura and Ailsa for everything. See you!

I loved volunteering at the hostel! The accommodations were very comfortable, and the food was great. The cleaning tasks and schedules were very straightforward and allowed for a lot of time to visit the city. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. Thank you guys! :)

My experience at the hostel could not have been better!!! One of the best structures I've been through in all my experiences as a Volunteer. The tasks are easy and the Host gives you all the support and equipment you need to perform them. Thanks Aisla, Laura and the entire Staff team for their receptivity. I recommend =)

Overall a great experience. Not your average hostel experience, but if you are looking for easy work and a comfortable place to stay it's just fine! :)
