L'expérience

We are looking for somebody who is able to use his hands together with his mind in caring and setting up the surrounding of our homestay. Mainly this are tasks which requires some physical efforts, like building and developing our garden, logging wood for the heating and taking care of our small forrest, helping to perform small projects like building dry stone walls and so on.

Randonnées gratuites: Nous vous emmènerons en excursions et randonnées autour de la ville. Gratuitement !

Détails du programme

We have not had really a formal volunteering programm, but lots of good experience with young work & travel guests which like to stay for some time here at our place and help to work on setup and maintenance tasks with us together. You can experience the full bandwith from gardening, house maintenance & repair, small building or crafting tasks to forrestal work.

Please note that we usually only host a single work & travel guest and quite often we are also doing some stuff in the evening for ourselfs, so you should be ready to cope with your free time independent from us.

Activités et horaires

Focus for the next time is forrestal work & landscaping mainly, so to say: Outdoor activities. Most of the time you will work with one of us on our tasks together. But there might be also things (like pulling weeds e.g.) that you could do on your own; that also depends a little on you what you prefer.

Due to our side-business the preferred working days would be Wednesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday. But we are quite flexible to modify this to your needs so you could e.g. have a 3-day trip to get around here or whatsoever.
The proposed working days also fits the possibility to move around here with public transport, which can be somehow tedious on the weekend and is much easier during the week.
Due to winter coming up, the daily working time is on average 7 hours/day, this will vary between individual days adapted to weather conditions.

Règles

As you will get a regular guest appartment for your living space, we expect that you keep it tidy quite normal as it would do with your home. So cleaning it at least once a week, same for bath & kitchen, changing bed sheets every two weeks etc.

On working days we will have usually a small second short breakfast ("merienda" in Spanish) and a nice lunch prepared by chef Claudia ;-) And we also have regularly some evenings together with sharing food & wine, could be also our regular guests may join.
Regarding the other meals, we will provide you with all the food you require or you can buy it yourself and just pass the bill to us if you like. As your appartment has a fully equipped kitchen, you can easily prepare your own meals.
