My stay at the guest house was short due to personal reasons, but I had a good time there, learning many new things, even about myself. Daragh is a high-energy person who is always on the move and thinking fast, always trying to make the most of her time, We had good conversations and she gave me supoort when i need it, wich i aprpreciate too much. My activities included helping with gardening, painting some parts of the house and cooking. I didn't find it to be hard work. I liked this experience. House is far to other towns but there is amazing landscapes you can expore.

I had an amazing time at the guest house! The team is lovely and we had a lot of fun. Lots of hard work!! If you are good with that, you will have an amazing time and you will learn a lot about what it means to work in a small hotel. Totally recommend to actively participate and share with the guests if your English allows it. That's one the most amazing things the guest house has: the opportunity to meet people from all around that come to stay for a couple nights at this beautiful hotel. Thank you Daragh for receiving me and for the trust you placed in me.

Mi compañera Blanca y yo tuvimos una gran experiencia en la casa. Hemos aprendido en todos los ámbitos: cómo es la exigencia y disciplina en un trabajo, cómo aprender a valerte por ti mismo a la hora de viajar más allá de la casa y cómo comunicarte con personas que hablan un idioma distinto al tuyo, principalmente. Daragh estuvo ahí para nuestras necesidades, nos proporcionó una gran estancia y alimentación, además de enseñarnos bastante vocabulario y aconsejarnos lugares que visitar en nuestros días libres. Nos hemos reído mucho con ella, así como con las trabajadoras Silvia y Rifa.

I loved having you at Barrow House , you worked hard, were enthusiastic, super polite and the team and I could see the great contribution . The gardens looked spectacular and well very well maintained by Pablo he took very quick time to be trained. Blanca was so hard-working often doing very repetitive foreign jobs with a smile never complaining. Both of the two of them are welcome back to Barrow any time there in Ireland

Perfect experience. Dara is an open, honest, and inspiring host. Tasks were diverse and meaningful—sometimes even meditative. It's not a place to relax all day; you're expected to contribute. The house is remote, so be comfortable with solitude. If you're motivated, flexible, and ready to help, you'll love it here. I felt truly useful and could apply my creative and practical skills. One of the best experiences of my life. 5 stars! Charakters are limitless but i can Tell you much more. If you have any questions just ask me.

La casa ES UN LUGAR HERMOSISIMO. RODEADO DE PLAYAS AGRESTES Y PAISAJES TRANQUILOS. SIEMPRE HAY TRABAJO POR HACER Y TIENES TODAS LAS HERRAMIENTAS NECESARIAS PARA HACERLO. TAMBIÉN ESTÁ SIEMPRE ABIERTA LA POSIBLIDAD DE PROPONER IDEAS Y DE APLICAR LA CREATIVIDAD EN EL TRABAJO. DARAGH INTENTA PROPONERTE DESAFIOS O PENSAR TAREAS EN LAS QUE CREE QUE PUEDES SENTIRTE CÓMODO. Todo eso sumado a la compañía de Betty y Hoodie hicieron de este voluntariado una gran experiencia para nosotros!

Daragh was a fantastic host. Very welcoming and generous. She has plenty of fantastic lore about the guest house and the area, as well as DIY experience you can learn from! The area is beautiful and town is a 2 mile bike ride away through a lovely isolated road. Two friendly dogs, a loving cat and plenty of chickens if you like animals. Amazing golf course for walking next door.

I have been working at the guest house for a month and it was wonderful. I had two objectives before going, to discover a new country and improve my English and I have completely fulfilled both. In the end I have been working all days more hours than I should. This month it has been difficult for me to understand what I could use to make my meals, I insisted several times on the foods that I did not like and they did not listen to me. I am very grateful for the walks with Daragh and her dogs, talking and learning english, and im sure i will keep this memorys for the rest of my life :)

My experience as a volunteer at the host was exceptional. Daragh, the hostess is natural, always made sure I had everything I needed and more, she made me feel like part of the family. The surroundings are magical, with breathtaking views and charming tranquility. The facilities are comfortable and welcoming, making my stay even more enjoyable. Her authenticity and generosity are unmatched, I get to admire her deeply. I will never forget this experience. Thank you Daragh for everything! J&J
