Helena fue una anfitriona de maravilla!! Nos fue a buscar a la estación, nos cocino al menos una vez al día MUY rico y variado. Ademas nos daba a elegir los alimentos para el resto de las comidas. (Lógicamente los gustos personales debe pagarlos uno.) Las actividades fueron pasear a los perros y pintar una puerta, retirar las malezas del jardín, y Ulises realizo tareas eléctricas. Ella siempre se mostró muy respetuosa de nuestros tiempos y espacio. También nos invito al festival de la Sopa en un pueblo cercano, nos encanto! Y compartimos un Asado Argentino🙌🏽. Estamos muy agradecidos Helena ♥️

Helena was an easy going host and the accommodations provided were very comfortable and private. I’m a down to earth person so I appreciated her down to earth personality. I only stayed 5 days and I helped with the dogs, the yard and bringing Helena to a medical appointment. She was so kind to let me use her car as the home is very rural with not much around for being a tourist. Helena provided any food I wanted and made lovely lunches. I enjoyed my quiet stay at her home.

A senhora Helena é hospitaleira e divertida, além de ser excelente cozinheira, sempre nos proporcionando ótimas refeições e momentos agradáveis com bons vinhos. Tem consciência ambiental e muito conhecimento sobre alimentação saudável. As tarefas eram simples como pintura, manutenção, jardinagem e passear uma vez por dia com seus cachorros. Fazíamos tudo na parte da manhã e tirávamos o restante da tarde para descansar, ver séries e/ou andar pelo pacato vilarejo, onde é possível colher uvas e figos pelas ruas. Nos dias de folga podíamos utilizar o carro dela para visitar cidades próximas.

Figos, uvas, pêssegos, maçãs e oliveiras faziam parte do nosso dia durante a estadia em Zambujal. Nossas tarefas foram: passear com os cachorros, pintura, jardinagem, organização, limpeza e presença. Tive a valorosa oportunidade de poder ter contato com a natureza em Zambujal e a senhora Helena, com sua generosidade e clareza, tornou nossa experiência mais amigável e confortável. Aprendemos sobre a cultura local, alimentação e tempo presente. Obrigada por nos receber! Helena, Cheetah, Rufi e Pluto estarão para sempre em nossas memórias com muito carinho.

Helena is a wonderful woman who made my first volunteering experience unforgettable. She cooks delicious and different lunches every day, and her home is cozy and welcoming. I fell in love with her sweet cat and two lovely dogs. Our tasks included walking the dogs, painting, gardening, organizing, and other DIY projects. I really enjoyed my time there and learned a lot. One thing to keep in mind is that the house is in a very quiet and remote area, so there’s not much around. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking to disconnect, enjoy nature, and have a peaceful routine.
