Make no mistake, you hike a lot here and you are constantly busy. But if you embrace it, you will have an incredible time. No two hikes are ever completely the same, you spend so much time outdoors in truly jaw dropping locations and the team that you live with truly becomes a sudo-family after a while. In terms of facilities, it's worth mentioning that there is no fridge and you purchase filtered water for yourself but I see it as a more than fair trade for everything you are given in return. There are even bonus business around Leon that offer discounts too! Unforgettable and unmissable!

I had a great time volunteering with volcano day! The other guides are great and really easy to get along with. Great opportunity to meet both international travellers and locals, so a great option if you’re looking to improve language skills. You’re kept very busy with doing hikes almost everyday, but this is perfect and means you’re never bored.

This is an awesome place to volunteer. You get plenty of downtime to enjoy León and the team is very nice. The volcanoes are beautiful and the work is fun. You get great meals too.
If you are a female please be cautious. Not all, but some of the men are not respectful towards woman to the same standard you may be used to. I had a very uncomfortable encounter with a staff member and it was not the first time with that staff member.
It was handled very well when I went to management so I would still recommend the experience, just keep your wits about you. Be extra safe.

Has the best month at Volcano Day! Got to walk many of the Nicaragua volcanoes including San Cristobal, used the free beach shuttle for countless beach trips and had many nights socialising and partying. Met loads of amazing people from all around the world. The guides and staff at Volcano Day are all super bubbly and fun and the bosses are really chill. If you love the outdoors and socialising then this is heaven! Thanks Volcano Day
