The Bauhaus Hostel & Bar
Situated in a complex of six UNESCO World Heritage listed Brugean step-gable houses and surrounded by Bruges´ historical centre, The Bauhaus offers the best party atmosphere and beer selection of any Bruges hostel. With walking tours, bike tours and Belgian beer tastings on-site every day, there's always a great experience waiting for you in the bar - try some of our 60+ high quality Belgian beers and chat to our friendly international staff for some sightseeing recommendations and local tips!
We have a strong focus on atmosphere, fun and a positive work attitude. All of our staff love what they do and have fun doing it!
The hostel has a range of dorm sizes (4x 6x 8x 10x 12x 16x beds) and private rooms to suit all guest requirements.

The Bauhaus has a mixed staff of international and local people, something that brings a unique atmosphere to both the bar and hostel. We are a team who loves to have fun and always make an effort to ensure all of the staff get involved in the party.

I will remember this place as a home far from home, I had a great time here, the workers were really nice and easy to work with, the other volunteers were like a family trough the experience and the pub is super cool and cozy.
the condition were exactly what was written on the description, and some week we even worked less than what was asked at the beginning.
I had the opportunity to challenge myself doing activities out of my bubble, like doing the karaoke host or working at the bar.
definitely recommended for whoever is looking for a great time in Bruges

Sin duda esta experiencia es perfecta para un primer voluntariado ya que Brujas no es una ciudad grande pero en el hostel vas a tener la oportunidad de convivir con muchos voluntarios, por lo que hace que sea una experiencia fácil! Además, siempre se cumplieron los horarios de trabajo, lo cual está muy bien. Está ubicado en una zona céntrica a unos 15 minutos de la plaza principal. Muchas gracias Steve y Cristian por la experiencia y en general a toda la familia Bauhaus!

Perfect experience, we found exactly what expected and even more, the city is really cozy and there are many things to do during christmas time, the shifts are pretty easy and you can always comunicate with Steve or Christian if you need, the staff that works there is very welcoming and always avaiable, they are a beautiful team and you can have a lot of fun with them. Also the room/apartment for volunteers felt like home after a while and we loved our room mates, we did friendships that I hope will last and I’m looking forward to come back, I would definitely recommend this experience!

My time at Bauhaus was truly amazing!
The staff and all the other volunteers were really welcoming and I immediately felt very included. This experience is especially great when you're looking to meet people that you can also have experiences with because there are so many volunteers and we did many activities as a group!
The work was ad agreed and expected. I would definitely recommend this experience to other travelers. I had a great experience and would love to come back!

My stay here was amazing. When I first got to the room I was a little bit shocked about the ten-person room but it really helped connecting with the other volunteers and it ended up being the best thing I could’ve imagined. The shifts were well organised, everything about the shifts was clearly communicated and if you wanted to change a shift you could always ask (in advance of course) and it was almost always possible! The staff was really nice and the time we had at the bar (especially at karaoke night) was amazing! I would totally recommend coming here:)
