Semi di Luce Comunity

Here you live in nature and as part of a community 🌼
Wake up in wild Sardinia, work in the garden 🌱, learn skills like natural building 🛠️, cooking with local ingredients 🥗, growing food 🌾, and speaking new languages.
Create with others 🎨, share ideas 💡, and be part of a joyful, purpose-driven project 💫
Bring your light and we’ll make it shine brighter together 🌟

Here, life flows with the sun, the seasons , and the laughter of barefoot kids playing in the garden 🙌🏻

What to expect:
• A lively garden (yes, weeds included 😄)
• Hands-on work in the soil and around the land
• Shared meals, meaningful conversations, and starlit evenings
• A place where children, adults, and nature grow together
• Space to reconnect with yourself, the earth, and others 🌍🩵

We’re not a perfect setup, but an evolving experiment in authenticity, creativity, and joy!
If that sparks something in you, we’re probably a good match 😉

We are a family living off-grid in the beautiful wild north of Sardinia. Our “team” is made of: Johan, passionate about natural building and growing food; Gin, who loves creating community, playing guitar and singing, cooking from the garden, and dreaming big with her feet on the ground 🌱 And of course, our two wild and wonderful kids, always barefoot and full of stories 🐾 Right now, we are sharing this land with two other lovely families, creating a community where support, shared meals, and magic.✨ You will be treated like part of the family! We care deeply about mutual respect, clear communication, and creating a space where people feel welcome, seen, and free to be themselves.🙌🏻 This is a place to connect, learn, and live something real and beautiful together!🌺

Such a great volunteering experience! Gin and Yohan were super welcoming and made me feel at home right away.
I learned so many things gardening, construction, cooking, and even some Italian.
The atmosphere was really warm and friendly, and overall it was just an amazing experience. I’m very grateful and would totally recommend it!

This was my first time traveling and using Worldpackers and I took a leap of faith and I did it alone. Gin and Johan and their family/friends have given me an experience that I will never forget. From day one I was treated like family. I had so much fun learning the language and the culture. I also had an incredible time helping with their many projects around the house and always making time to play with their amazing children and dogs! I really liked how most mornings we would come together and talk about what’s on our minds and how we are feeling. Thank you Gin and Johan :)

I had a truly fantastic time with Gin, Johan, Nael, and Namid and would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone like me!

From day 1, everyone was very welcoming (especially their 2 lovely dogs); I could’ve taken a couple days to settle in but I wanted to get straight to work. Most mornings would start with a “come together” where we discussed our feelings, needs, and to plan out the day. There are lots of different tasks you can do (mainly gardening, daily chores, and construction) but they are very open to whatever you want to do. And of course we would often go to the beach!

Hey there 👋🪷,
My personal experience in Sardinija with this beautiful family of Gin & Johan was surely on of a kind. Because I got to see them not just my host, but also I got a chance to get to know them as individuals as people.
I was welcomed in to there full family, loved and respected. For me lunch time, there was one of my favorite times where we would gather to eat. 🍲🥗
I can definitely say that there I received a better experience then I expected 🪷
What to have in mind there is :
• The family communicates in German
• Dishes are mainly vegetarian
• Bus can leave 18 min earlier

Thank you Egle 🤗
The main spoken language here at home really depends on who is around at the moment.
You happened to arrive during a time when Johan's whole family was visiting, so naturally we spoke mostly German.
When my family is here, Italian becomes the main language. And when we have a more international group, we usually shift to English so everyone feels included.
It's a lively mix, just like the project itself! All the best with your plans 🍀💚🤞🏻

It was an amazing first time traveling experience on this Workpackers program. The family is fuild with loving, and caring individual's. After 2 week, Gin & Johan, kids, other family members, dog's ~ they made me feel like I'm a family member as well ❤️‍🩹🥹. And I can definitely say that I found my soul family in Sardinija.
Hey new Workpacker,
Just to let you know:
• That shared dishes in the family's are usually vegetarian based, so you will see meet on the table but not that often.
• Kids and the family is talking Italian and German, so if know German more then Italian, your good 👍.
