Sapateiro Boutique Winery

A vineyard, fruit trees, plants, animals, a wine cellar and a great view of the city of Marco de Canaveses, makes this Wine Estate a quiet place which people love to visit.

Here we produce high-quality boutique wines made with autochthonous grape varietals, all carefully selected and hand-picked.

All our bottles are individually enumerated – a way to show our small and special production, and the corks hold a surprise for you as well, therefore don’t forget to check them.

Our production is around 15 000 bottles per year and at the moment we produce around fifteen different wines; they are small batches or micro-vinifications in such small quantities that at the time you read this, some of them are likely to be sold out.

Tiago is responsible for the project and aims to protect the region’s authenticity while searching for modern styles that will enhance the wine experience for its clientele. We also look forward to building a great farm and providing fantastic wine tourism programs to our guests. We already do tastings in our humble facilities, so… if you are curious to make a visit, apply to volunteer with us! :)

The experience at Sapateiro was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I arrived in Marco Canaveses, everything exceeded my expectations.
Silbi and Tiago welcomed me like family, kind, warm, and always making sure I understood how everything would work, from the photography to our time in the vineyard. Getting to know their culture, their food, and the story behind Sapateiro was unforgettable. Seeing their passion in everything they do made the experience even more special. This trip opened my perspective and left me with an unforgettable memory.

This was my first WorldPackers experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! Silvi and Tiago and their families are incredibly kind and welcoming. They provide everything you need and the rooms are very clean and cozy. The tasks are very manageable and very easy to accomplish. The hosts are very patient with explaining tasks and taking your time to complete them. If you are coming during harvest seasons, definitely bring clothes and shoes to get dirty in. As long as you come with a good attitude and work ethic, you will do great!

I recommend doing this experience if you are able!

We couldn't be more thrilled to have our first Worldpackers experience with Tiago and Silvi. They were excellent hosts and were very wonderful to chat with and get to know over the course of our volunteering. The work was very reasonable and Tiago even provided many opportunities to learn about the winery and help with the tastings. We also helped with daily chores around the house especially to help Silvi and the baby. We were happy to help clean and try to make their lives easier if we could. We could not ask for a better experience! Thank you Tiago & Silvi for your kindness and patience :)

It’s a really nice expensive to stay with Tiago’s family with unlimited grapes and figs. Silvic is soooo nice, and the dishes she cook are amazing. Most importantly, Denis is so cute. The time that sitting around the pool and walk around the village is so cozy.
