It's a way to get out of the loud city and in touch with nature! Have a unique adventure in the DR where you'll be able to learn about different things and put your skills to the test!

Our farm is about 45 minutes away from Santo Domingo and about 1 hour to at least 3 different beaches. However, right by our farm flows a serene river (less than 10 minute trek), and you can find various waterfalls and rivers within 30 minutes from our location. Upon going into town, you will experience the true small town vibes of the island, away from tourists and typical clichés you see in the movies.

Lastly, choosing to volunteer at Rancho Kadena, we promise you'll have a one-of-a-kind experience while you help us bring our dream farm to life!

This is a family run farm, with only one employee. We are very unified and we treat everyone who comes here as part of our family. Our staff consists of: **Nancy** (Owner) Lives on/off the farm. Loves her chickens and gardening! She also loves to treat guests to home-cooked meals with produce from the farm! **Tito** (Owner) Lives on/off the farm. A master of all trades! Knows how to fix anything and everything, and finds solutions to any problems! **Audrey** (Daughter) Lives between Santo Domingo and the Farm. Loves traveling and connecting with people from around the world. Always willing to go on an adventure. **Kevin** (Son) Lives in Santo Domingo. Loves to make art and have random conversations with people. Currently has a passion for cooking. **Jason** (employee) Lives on the farm. Manages the farm duties, tending to crops and the animals. Isn't afraid of anything and likes playing light pranks on people.

I felt completely at home. I had a private room, sometimes shared with her brother, always with care for my comfort. Audrey is an amazing person who let me experience Santo Domingo and Monte Plata like a local. Tasks were fair, and we worked together on projects like building and painting. The farm, with its many animals, is perfect to learn English and Spanish. Audrey’s family and friends are warm and helpful. I learned a lot, both technically and personally. Highly recommend!

Audrey is one of the most kindhearted people I’ve ever met in my life. She is a very attentive and caring host. I feel like I have made a new friend for life with her. Jason, the farm hand, was very kind and fun to be around as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the farm. Audrey is very flexible and is always willing to negotiate on your days off so you can explore the surrounding space.

I had an amazing experience staying with Audrey in the Dominican Republic. The work was well-organized, with clear expectations and a manageable workload.
