Pisac Mystic Tribe

At Mystic Tribe, our mission is to live and explore the Sacred Valley from the inside, creating a home-based community where people can truly experience this land in an authentic and meaningful way.

From our house in Pisac, surrounded by the river, sacred mountains, and ancient ruins, we invite volunteers and travelers to discover everything the Sacred Valley has to offer high Andean lagoons, waterfalls, rivers, farms, trails, archaeological sites, and nearby villages not as tourists, but as part of the place.

We believe that to truly know a land, you must live in it, even if only for a short time. Mystic Tribe is a point of departure and return a community home from which we explore, learn, and then come back to share meals, stories, and daily life together.

Our mission is to support real experiences of connection with nature, local culture, and simple living, while cultivating respect for the land, shared responsibility, and genuine human exchange.

From here from this house-community the Sacred Valley opens not as a destination, but as a living path 🌿

We discovered this place in the Sacred Valley and felt immediately called to stay. Surrounded by Andean mountains, rivers, open skies, and deep nature, it was clear that this land was not meant to be rushed through it was meant to be lived. Mystic Tribe was born from that decision: to stay, care for this land, and build a community-home where travelers could experience the Sacred Valley in a real and human way. The project is guided by Peruvians who were born here, together with a small team from Latin America. We love receiving travelers it’s part of our culture. Hospitality, warmth, and sharing daily life come naturally to us. Here, there is no strong hierarchy. We don’t separate “staff” and “volunteers.” We live together as a community, and everyone is treated with the same respect and care. Volunteers can expect: ✨ Kindness and openness — you are welcomed as you are ✨ A safe and supportive environment — especially for sensitive or solo travelers ✨ Flexibility and understanding — tasks adapt to people, not the other way around ✨ Inclusion in daily life — shared meals, conversations, laughter, and rest ✨ Clear and gentle communication — your comfort and boundaries matter We are a young, evolving community, shaped by the people who choose to pass through and contribute. Life here is simple and grounded: mornings with the valley, shared work, time in nature, and evenings of connection. Many volunteers arrive planning a short stay and end up staying longer — not because of obligation, but because this place feels calm, natural, and like home. Mystic Tribe is for those who feel called to slow down, live close to nature, and be part of a Latin American community rooted in warmth and presence 🌿

I had a beautiful volunteer experience at Maska Mistic Tribe in Pisac. I stayed for one week and really enjoyed the closeness with nature and the rituals, which made the experience very special and meaningful. I also loved meeting other volunteers and guests from all over the world, which made the experience even richer. Through the daily activities and cultural exchange I learned a lot. Maga and Leo were very kind and easy to communicate with, and everyone made me feel welcome. Even though the place is a little far, it was a peaceful experience that I truly enjoyed.

My time at Mystic Tribe was shorter than expected. I came with different expectations, and in the end it just wasn’t the right fit for me. Tasks and responsibilities could be communicated more clearly, and open conversations about it aren’t always easy to have. Sharing feedback is not always well received, which makes it difficult to grow together as a team. I personally found the “work more, talk less” approach a bit at odds with the community’s idea of being open and family-like. It's a beautiful place tho, guests may enjoy their stay, but for volunteers it depends on what you’re looking for

Thank you, Kim, for sharing your perspective. We understand that every volunteer has different expectations, and sometimes a project simply isn’t the right match. At our community we value clear communication, initiative, and a positive, collaborative spirit that’s what helps the community grow and flow together.

We appreciate your contribution during your stay and wish you the best in finding a place that resonates more with your personal rhythm and vision. Safe travels ahead

I feel so lucky starting my first volunteering experience from Mystic Tribe! The vibe here is flowing and inclusive — everyone is so kind and genuinely contributes their energy to the community. We shared meals, held hands in prayer, and spent evenings by the fire under the stars, exchanging songs and poems. I felt a beautiful sense of belonging that is hard to put into words.

Neo’s parents are also amazing — they welcomed me warmly, introduced me to traditional Peruvian clothing, and took me to experience truly local celebrations.
