Orchard
my place is a big garden with abandon restaurant. Volunteers may stay in the dorm with private bathroom and shared kitchen with me. you may help me cleaning , gardening , repairing and fixing things . We have to practice how to live with mindfullness. There is less people here, but bugs and animals.
I stay alone in the big garden. Sometime there are monekys sneaking in and destroy some plants. Volunteers need to be independent and able to cook their own food, but sometimes we can cook together.

I had such a wonderful time with jay in his garden. He has a beautiful home, and I got to meet so many lovely animals and creatures whilst I stayed with him. Work is nice - weeding. I really enjoyed it. Would recommended for the traveller who wants a peaceful place to come to rest and stay put for a while. Jay is a great guy and I’m happy I got to know him :)

It was a great experience for me! I really love nature and happy to be in the nature. There are a lot of places on his site where you can relax in your free time. I saw many new things for me. Jay is very polite, conscious person. He showed us where it is better to get food, where the markets are on the very first day. He has two nice cats. I was happy to be here:)

Jay is very nice and straight forward person. Tasks around the yard is also very straight forward. Normal things, like cleaning and taking care of the land and aroundings. Like you would keep your own yard clean and neat too! Littlebit beekeeping also if you are interested 😉

The job part was alright, but everything else was abysmal. We didn't hit it off with Jay, the communication was poor and done mainly on WhatsApp, which is not a sufficient way to communicate, especially while trying to resolve conflicts.
There were many points at which I didn't understand what Jay wanted, and it just created more tension as my questions to clarify usually went unanswered.
This experience wasn't for me, but maybe if you like being micro-managed, stressed and not allowed to make mistakes, you would like it. In the end, I got threatened with police because of a waste bucket.

Jay is a fantastic host. He has very free style where you get to create your own schedule for the day doing tasks. He doesn’t demand much besides the upkeep of the shared areas.
