OneFam Budapest was such a fun experience! Mauro is a great manager and was always very welcoming, flexible, and understanding. I met so many incredible people, whether it be guests or the other young, short term volunteers. I made friendships that I cherish so deeply and made me grow so much as a person. OneFam definitely is a party every day so it can get quite tiring, especially if the schedule doesn’t work in your favour, but every night is so much fun. I had so much fun during my stay and am thankful for everything Mauro did to help me out during my stay!

I spent a month volunteering at this social party hostel in Budapest and had a great experience. It was my first time in such a social place, and I met many amazing people. The volunteer group is large, so the experience depends on who you meet, but I made really great memories with them🤩. Tasks are simple, and schedules change daily, so flexibility is important. I didn’t love the strong focus on getting reviews, but overall I recommend it if you want to party, meet people, and enjoy the nightlife. Not ideal if you want peace and quiet.

I had an amazing time volunteering at this hostel! The tasks were really relaxed, and I always had plenty of time to explore the city. I met so many wonderful people here, which made saying goodbye really emotional.
I’m really grateful for the memories I made here, and I’d love to come back one day🫶🏻🫶🏻
(I would only especially recommend this experience if you’re really social and enjoy interacting with people. I personally had a lot of fun, but it might not be for everyone.)

My experience was ok but disappointing. Budapest is beautiful and you have plenty of time to explore the city. Hours are respected and tasks are easy.
Volunteer’s room sucks, it’s missing so many things. No curtains, no stand, no light, the plug is a cable on top of the bed. Honestly embarrassing.
Mauro (manager) can be very rude when nervous or in a bad mood.
Rodrigo (receptionist) can be very aggressive -especially when drunk-
They insist A LOT with asking for 5star reviews.
No proper training given.
Camila and Marina were always helpful and nice.

Unfortunately, our experience with Oriana did not meet our expectations.
Although she knew she was joining a social/party hostel, she repeatedly refused not only to socialize but even to talk to guests. Being social is a core responsibility, which was not fulfilled.
Additionally, she often tried to minimize effort during her shifts and struggled to get along with most of the volunteer team. Overall, we would not recommend her for a social/party or team-based environment.
