I stayed with Jane for about six weeks, and I truly loved my time there. For almost three weeks, another friend of mine also stayed with Jane, and she enjoyed it just as much as I did. We had an amazing summer at her place.
I learned a lot about gardening and life in Canada. The food was incredible, and I especially loved all the animals around the house. On hot days, we went swimming in beautiful lakes, and we even had the amazing opportunity to work at the BC Rodeo Finals—a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
I really recommend this place and I would definitely come back if I get back to Canada

We planned to stay at Janes for four weeks, but left early because it was not a match. The work is physical, but manageable. However, Jane can get easily annoyed when you don’t do things her way. Although the surroundings are beautiful, the farm is a bit of a mess and because the place is very remote, you will not be able to see much of Canada. There are no busses or Ubers, so you rely on Jane to take you to places. Jane is a good cook, and the animals were lovely. The horses are well trained. We recommend this place if you don't mind working hard every day, and staying at a very remote place.

Claudia and her friend left without notice. This left me in a predicament as I had refused other worldpackers for this time period. Unfortunately they were not suited for any sort of physical work, to which a farm requires. I arranged a ride for them and wished them well as I don’t want anyone to be unhappy.

I really enjoyed my stay with Jane. You will live with her in a nice farmhouse and have the nicest animals around you. The work is manageable and differs from fixed animal tasks to what ever comes up. You can learn a lot about farming and sustainability and will have a lot of nice food :)

Lotta was a wonderful help! She is a self starter and requires little to no supervision in her work. Her sunny outlook is pleasant to have around. Her love for the animals showed in the care she gave them.
Thanks for all your help.

What an experience! Jane is a great host, who welcomes you into her home. She is generous with her time and knowledge around animal care, sustainable practices and more. She is a great cook and the food was delicious! The work is physical however after an adjustment period, is very manageable. The animals are beautiful and I miss seeing them everyday. This is a fabulous place to volunteer! Thank you again Jane 😊
