Hidden House Hostel
Our hostel brings you the heart and soul of Montañita, with huge open communal areas, a fully equipped kitchen, free WiFi, hot water, and lush greenery; you'll be staying at a veritable backpacker's paradise!
We're two young friends from England and Ecuador who decided to make the beautiful beach town of Montañita our home. As such, we treat all guests and volunteers as if you're our family and will happily sit with you and a beer talking about all there is to talk about!

Conocí un grupo de gente muy linda, con la que disfruté compartir el tiempo y me han robado un pedacito de mi corazón. Las tareas son simples. Los turnos van rotando y hay varios días libres por semana lo que está muy bueno para conocer otros lugares.
Recomendado para personas que les guste salir de fiesta pues hay mucha fiesta fuerte jaja. Podría mejorar la explicación de tareas desde el día uno, yo fui aprendiendo a medida que pasaban los días y al ver como lo hacía el resto o mientras surgían cosas, pero igual súper tranqui.

En Hidden me sentí como en casa! El sitio esta en medio de la naturaleza y es increíble, los compañeros se hicieron mis amigos y Jose el dueño fue muy atento y se conviertio también en amigo. Los horarios son respetados y las tareas son sencillas, recepción, atención a huéspedes y limpieza de zonas comunes. Repetiría

I think communication is really lacking because since I arrived nobody really explained the schedule or the tasks that need to be done. The volunteer room is super crammed and I couldn’t unpack at all, just live right out of the backpack. The overall space is nice for chilling, loved the hammocks, the tasks are easy (but also super boring, sweeping the leaves over and over again). Also, the biggest downside was that they say they provide surfboards but most of them are broken or without fins, only one kind of working. I left early, I’m grateful that Jose was understanding about it.

Fue mi primer voluntariado y no pudo ser mejor, conocí mucha gente local y compartí momentos muy buenos. José es una persona súper amable y buena onda, flexible con los horarios, dándote la posibilidad de que aproveches el algunos días para recorrer.
En fin una experiencia que sin dudas volvería a repetir
