Grovey Floating House
1) WE are looking for independent aged 28 or above to apply for the volunteer position. We welcome for 2 person to stay and work here. You can be a couple/travel buddies, 2 friends travelling.
2) We have 2 friendly house dogs, and we welcome animal lovers to apply.
If you have traveled many places and are looking for a natural, peaceful, and calm place to rest. You will love to stay here. We have only 2 rooms and maximum of 10 beds for booking, it is easy to maintain a daily routine work for guest check-in and set up, to keep the house clean.
We are located in a hidden gem of Selangor. besides guests staying, we bring customers to the mangrove forest by kayaking, led by our guide. During a kayaking tour, you will be helping and have the opportunity to join tour for free, explore more wildlife in the mangrove forest.
The house is suitable for independent volunteers who loves to experience staying on a floating house. It is an extraordinary homestay.
We make friends with volunteers when they stay and work, like family members. We like to introduce our food and culture in this small town and Malaysia to travelers from different countries. Working on a schedule and flexible arrangements. You will also join our mangrove kayaking tour with customers and help us during the tour.

This is an amazing experience for me. I’m so grateful to come here and meet wonderful people like Aivee and Chen. They treated me like a family. They took me to try the most wonderful foods, and meet the nice local people. It’s definitely a great immersion into the local culture. The work here is easy and always clearly communicated. It is a good place to escape from city life. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to come back.

My first volunteer experience wasn't really good because the host wasn't welcoming, contrary to what I'd seen from other volunteers. I had to leave early, not on time. The only thing I enjoyed during that time was the dogs, nothing more.

It is untrue that he was not welcomed. I took him to a Dragon Fruit farm to taste fresh fruit, a famous Halal restaurant, and a supermarket to choose his own food to cook. He lacked empathy regarding my absence for a family funeral. Furthermore, his work attitude was poor and projected a bad image to our guests. I cannot recommend a volunteer who receives such hospitality but refuses to work and is ungrateful.

Much recommanded experience. I stayed for 3 weeks and main Tasks were taking care of the House, plants, dogs, cleaning, preparing for the kayak Tours and joining them. As well as some other tasks based on what was needed at the time. Everyone is realy Kind and they will Show you a Lot of different food as well as Share there Knowledge about Malaysia, Mangroves, Culture and much more.
Be aware that if AiVee is gone you will be alone at the House for some amount of time. So you should be Fine with beeing on your own. Its the best Place for relaxing and watching Wildlife. So enjoy!

The volunteering was an unforgettable experience! The place is truly unique — a floating house surrounded by nature.
The tasks were simple including cleaning, preparing for the kayak tours and tidying up afterwards. I also had the chance to join most of the tours, which was amazing — I learned so much about the mangroves and their importance to the local ecosystem.
AiVee was an amazing host — super kind, welcoming, and always happy to share stories about the local culture, land, and people.
Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and great company.

The place is amazing and the team too. Aivee became a friend, I learned a lot from her space and her excursions. It’s really interesting. I highly recommend it and I’m going back, since due to work issues I had to leave volunteering a week before.
