We’re a small, friendly team that loves people, music, and beach life. Everyone here is open-minded, easygoing, and loves to have a good time while keeping a respectful, relaxed atmosphere. Volunteers are treated like friends — we work together, hang out together, and make sure you feel welcome from day one. 💫 You’ll get guidance when needed, space to be yourself, and plenty of support to enjoy your time both at the bar and on the island.

I loved staying in Koh Rong! It is such a beautiful island where you spend all day in the whitest sand and bluest water.
The work consist of giving out flyers for 30 minutes to 1hour in the afternoon and then 3-4 hours of bartending in the evening.
The food provided is absolutely delicious and the full time staffs are so nice, welcoming and helpful teaching me how to do the job.

Fully recommended experience! It was my first time working for a bar and I did it during Christmas week which was full of people and parties, it was very fun in the nights and it was properly relaxing during the days which were basically free to enjoy this beautiful island.

When working we had to deal with a lot of customers so there was always something to do (taking orders/preparing cocktails/getting payments) but it's nothing complicated and the whole staff is great.

I really enjoyed working at Funky Bar. The staff and Same is so nice and helpful and the dogs are the cutest. The Location is also Beautiful because it is directly on the Beach. I would definetely come back again. 🫶🏻

I had the best time working at Funky, with the best staff, customers and environment. Most beautiful location on the beach and being able to meet so many different people from all around, and working with local staff was a great experience, I learnt alot about bartending and learning to promote activities. Hopefully I can come back soon and work again ;)

I loved helping out at funky beach! It was great being able to live on the beach for a week and so fun getting to meet a lot of people and party in paradise! I loved talking to new people and bringing them to the bar as well as helping out behind the bar. Future cocktail master in the making ;) Thank you for letting me stay with you Same!
