We are a small, passionate team working from the heart. Our two certified therapists lead the therapy sessions with love and dedication. The horses are our partners, not tools — and we treat them with the care and freedom they deserve. You’ll be welcomed as part of our family. We value kindness, presence, good vibes, and mutual respect. Your help and energy will be appreciated every single day — not just for the tasks, but for the spirit you bring ✨

My friend Lola and I stayed with pia for a week before we realized that there had been a bit of a miscommunication. If you’re looking to gain riding experience and riding on the beach regularly then this is likely not the place for you. If you’re looking for a relaxed stay in a remote surf town then this is probably more your vibe.
Nevertheless Pia was kind and even offered to get us in touch with a ranch that was more in alignment with what we were looking for. Regardless of our early departure, I appreciate everything Pia did for us. (PS: groceries are in the city an hour away)

Pia cares a lot for the wellbeing of her horses. She has exact times which they need to be fed and moved, which is the main job of the volunteers. Therefore we didn’t feel as though we had enough to do.
We spent the rest out our time in Lobitos- either renting surf boards or in the cafes. The people are super nice and the accommodations great!
Throughout our stay, there was some miscommunication, one thing being, we thought we would be able to ride much more.
I would recommend this experience to someone who just wants some chill time, to meet nice people, surf and be around animals

Working at the ranch was amazing! The hosts, Pia and Julia, are extremely kind and welcoming. They make it very clear how important it is to them that you feel comfortable and immediately communicate if there is anything bothering you. The horses are very well trained and well behaved. I felt save at work (as someone who's never worked with horses before) and the tasks are all simple and very managable. The locals are also all so kind and amazing, it really helps shape a fun and memorable experience. I can only recommend volunteering here.

Hosts are very kind, caring for the animals and volunteers, always doing their best to create the best environment for everyone. Work is not hard and actually very enjoyable. Watching the most beautiful sunsets while being surrounded by horses and amazing people, community, events, campfires was something i will never forget. Lobitos feels very safe, and locals are very friendly and welcoming. My first volunteering trip couldn’t be more perfect. I learned so much, met wonderful people and created memories that i will carry with me forever🫶🏻

The ranch is an incredible place: peaceful and quiet, you’ll get to recharge your batteries!
You ll have plenty of free time to explore around. The main village is around 30mins by walk. For an hyperactive girl like me it was lacking activities even with the volonteering hours and the surf, but if you look for something a bit less stimulating than me, I recommend.
One of the things I liked the most was Pia introducing me to everyone in town; since it is a very small place, you ll know everyone in a week!
