Boho City Hostel Chania
When a volunteer chooses us they will have the oppertunity to learn new skills, language, learn about our little city island & also get to explore with free tours we do for our guests from the hostel.
Also they will have plenty of free time to explore & have fun themselves ....but the best part is meeting new people from all over the world who become friends for life!
When a traveler chooses to volunteer at our hostel we always treat them with respect & like family! They become apart of us. ...We like to make them feel at home away from home as we understand that they have probably been travelling for a short or long time or even first time! My name is Angelika... I'm Greek/Australian orn and bred in Tasmania & I have been living in Chania Crete Island since 2001 with my family. I was very excited to work with tourism here on Crete Island so I decided to open a little hostel & a tour office in the heart of the Old Harbour with all the attractions just walking distance and just a 10 min walk to the first local beach. It was the best dicison with the best location!!! Also I do alot of group tours with my guests to the the best famous beaches around the Island also alot of hikes to the white mountains & gorges! I offer for my volunteers a bed in a dorm & breakfast in the morning at thehostel for just a few hours per day of help.

I had a wonderful and relaxed time at this experience, I am very grateful for Angelika and Eleni, they provide a kind and comfortable space for their volunteers! :) The work is only in the evenings starting at 5, to make sure check ins come, and socializing with people outside. It is everyday unless you work extra, and then you have one day off. The hostel is small but you have the chance to meet people from around the world. I recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing hostel experience, and experiencing amazing Chania, a cute town with lots to do. I am grateful, thank you so much :)

My heart is forever in Boho City Hostel. The routine was really easy going and talking to people was one of the main tasks, whic I loved and made it much more fun. Angelikki and Eleni are amazing people, very open to conversation and were so thoughtful during my stay. As locals, they shared the most precious tips and Angelikki presented me some beautiful gems from Crete. The location of the hostel is just perfect, you're gonna make a lot of memories in the most beautiful street of Chania.

I can’t even describe with words how amazing this experience was. I will miss Angelika, Eleni, and of course Chania, so much! I definitely recommend this opportunity — it was my first time doing something like this and honestly, I loved it. I felt at home, met so many people from around the world, and was never lonely. I went on amazing tours for free, and the work is super chill. There are lots of beaches nearby and many beautiful places to visit. Angelika is super flexible, caring, and lovely.
If you have the opportunity to do this, don’t hesitate, go!

I had a great experience volunteering at Boho City Hostel! I worked 5-10pm everyday and got 1 day off a week! Angelika was a great host and provided ingredients that I needed for breakfast + a bit more :) I got to go on a free tour on one of my days off which was a great experience! Angelika and Eleni treat you like family and I enjoyed chatting to and getting to know both of them!

Angelika, Eleni, and Chrisandy, all I can say is THANK YOU! You truly spoiled me during this experience and made me feel so loved and welcomed!
This experience never felt like work, it felt like helping out family. I "worked" from 5–9 each evening, checking in and chatting with guests, helping Angelika with some design work and promoting the tours,which were incredible! We went to some of the big touristy beaches, but Angelika also took me to a quieter beach with her daughter just for a fun day out. She never felt like a boss or a host! I even stayed after my shifts just to chat with her!
