My time at Avenue was just amazing. I was immediately welcomed with open arms and everyone was sooo nice. This place really became my home and the staff and other volunteers now are like close friends or family to me. The shifts can feel long, but are still very chill. The food there is just amazing, especially the pizza. I can’t wait to come back 🤍

It was my second time at Avenue and it won’t be my last! The whole team is truly lovely and Ray is way more than a manager, she is an amazing friend!💗 We became a family, we celebrated Christmas together and went skydiving(!!). I already miss my darlings and cannot wait to see them again! 🫂

I stayed for two months, and it truly became a place I will always carry with me. From the very first day, I felt welcomed. There is something incredibly special about the atmosphere here. The people are the heart of this place. It felt like a small family very fast :). I’ve met amazing people here and even made friends for life.
The experience itself was so much more than i expected. I’m deeply grateful for the time I spent here, for the people i’ve met and for everything i’ve learned along the way. If you’re looking for a place that feels kind and full of heart, this is it.

I had a truly amazing time at Avenue! Everyone was incredibly welcoming and lovely from the moment I walked in. I met so many wonderful people and made connections full of heart and joy! It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn’t recommend it more!! Lisbon is beautiful and even though it took the sun a while to bless us, as soon as it did my heart was stolen. I will be back for sure and am already looking forward to seeing everyone again! 🌞🫶🏻
