A Sunflower Stop Backpackers
We are a small hostel where volunteers can interact with our guests on a more personal level. We have been here for just over 2 decades, growing the family of our return guests from all over the world. Big enough for a vibe, small enough to care.
We started A Sunflower Stop from scratch over 20 years ago. Our staff and guests are our extended family. Volunteers will become one of the family, working at our bar or tending to our Housekeeping. Filter coffee, laundry and unlimited Wi-Fi are all included.

I was at Sunflower for two months and had the best experience. The people at the hostel are friendly and will make your stay fun and entertaining. Lots of laughs and fun nights.
The job is pretty easy and very enjoyable.
The cash up the day after is sometimes complicated but mostly its chill. About the accommodation it's okay you shouldn't expect to much.
The best part for me at sunflower is the vibe.
People from all over the world coming together and having fun. As the bartender you get to talk to so many people and you will make many friends.

My experience at this hostel was simply amazing. The work is really fun and easy, which allows you to enjoy your time while learning. You meet so many people from all over the world, and the hostel family is wonderful, always welcoming and friendly. I also had the chance to practice my English a lot, which made the experience even more enriching. I highly recommend this place!

Volunteering as a bartender at Sunflower Stop was an amazing experience! The team was incredibly friendly and supportive — it truly felt like being part of a little family. I met so many interesting and kind guests from all around the world, and the atmosphere was always warm, fun, and full of good energy.
The work itself was not difficult and actually very enjoyable. I was clearly instructed and felt supported every step of the way, which made the experience smooth and stress-free.
It was an absolute pleasure to volunteer at this place, and I would gladly come back again in the future!

The host is nice, he’s especially laid-back, doesn’t stress easily, and passes that calm energy on to the volunteers. Mistakes can happen and are solved together, it’s not a big deal. He mostly lets you do your own thing and definitely doesn’t micromanage. If you’re looking to find your own rhythm, this is the perfect host.
