What's amazing about this volunteer project that I love that is unique from other programs is how much variety this program has to offer. Every day was a different day. It did not ever feel repetitive, or monotonous. In a week we would design murals, go to local communities, and schools, do the reserve on the beach, do jungle sustainability, do farming, construction, and more. The hosts did an amazing job making sure we were content and that we had a good experience. This program exceeded my expectations. Andrea and Diego are incredible hosts, this was truly the best month of my life.

La reserva es un hogar. Andrea y Diego se encargan de crear un espacio perfecto para conectar con la naturaleza, formar una familia, y compartir la cultura local. Trasciende el propósito de cuidar la vida marina para involucrarte también por completo con el bosque tropical, la Reserva. El proyecto no solo me dio una nueva familia para toda la vida y aprendizaje de flora y fauna increíble, sino un propósito nuevo y una conexión con la vida que no se habría podido dar en otro lugar. Un plus: la comida es espectacular en el refugio.

This experience was more than what I could of hoped for. Having done a few long term volunteer opportunities- this experience had a stronger sense of community, and more opportunities to engage within the local area. The work can be hard, but it varies by the day so it doesn't get monotonous. Bring a positive attitude and some things to do in down time (books, binoculars, cards) and laugh while you work. The more you talk to Andrea and Diego and the more they learn about you the more they go out of their way to make their experience special for you. Truly amazing hosts
