This trip was literally life changing. I learned more than I expected, beyond marine life and the reserve work. Andrea and Diego are such inspiring personalities who welcomed us from the beginning. They showed so much passion about their work and didn't hesitate to answer all of my questions patiently. I found a place I would always love to go back to and I can highly recommend it to everyone!!! The place I was allowed to stay for two weeks, was beautiful and clean and the food was always fresh and amazing. Thank you for the absolutely stunning experience and unforgettable memories!!

Andrea and Diego are amazing people who do such important work. They make you feel at home, care for you whilst you're there and get you participating in things that's so amazing to witness. It's a magical place and the work done there is just so incredibly amazing. Andrea is really knowledgeable about sea turtles and watching her work is so admirable. An amazing place and deserves all the support to flourish!

This was one of my top experiences. Diego and Andrea were amazing, making us feel welcomed, and we had every opportunity to learn about the sea turtles and their environments. We also had the opportunity to work with the community hands-on, teaching them about plants, meeting other locals, and having dinner with them. This trip had intense activities, which I absolutely loved, but if you are looking for a party in a hostel type of situation, this is not the experience for you. This experience is intentional, culturally immersive, and life-changing.

This experience truly changed me and pushed me to participate in an entirely new community and culture. Andrea and Diego were fantastic teachers, and even when there were language barriers, we were all able to communicate with each other so well. We worked so hard and had so much laughter in between which was really special. The meals were incredible, our nighttime hike was inspiring, and working with children 3 separate times was so meaningful. the reserve space itself is so beautiful, and it was so nice to be there right after the deck was built. So much peace, so much joy!

AMAZING! If you're thinking of doing this experience, don't hesitate! This project is really special -- the hosts, Andrea & Diego, are fantastic, extremely knowledgable, and very good at sharing their immense knowledge. This project also genuinely impacts its community -- you'll have hands-on experience with sea turtle & rainforest the reserve, community education, and agro-forestry efforts. It's also very immersive in the local community, which I never would have been able to explore without this experience. I'll be back for sure!

I felt very welcomed by Diego, Andrea, and everyone else working at the reserve. Even though we were only there for a week, our schedule was very full and we got to do more than I thought was possible. Seeing the animals was my favorite part: I saw so many birds, kinkajous, bugs, and baby turtles. I can tell that both Diego and Andrea are extremely knowledgeable and care about what they are doing. Both are clearly important in their community as well. I already miss them both.

My experience at the reserve Center exceeded all of my expectations. The work that Andrea and Diego do is truly inspiring, their passion for the environment and their community is unmatched. Every task we took part in was deeply fulfilling and left a lasting impact on me. The freshly prepared meals each day were a delight, and the property itself is absolutely breathtaking. Andrea and Diego's knowledge and dedication made this experience both educational and transformative. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience — a true 20/10!

This volunteering experience was truly special. The trip was organised by Camille, and I am so happy I decided to join. At the reserve, you take part in many different activities, from learning about turtle the reserve to gaining a deeper understanding of reforestation efforts, mangroves and more. What truly stands out is the incredible energy of the hosts. Andrea and Diego were always so welcoming and kind, answering every question and showing genuine care for both their volunteers and the important work they do. Thank you so much for this amazing experience!

Diego and Andrea were so kind and passionate. Andrea, the marine biologist, taught us soooo much about sea turtles and their the reserve, as well as about reforestation! We learned a lot, did a lot of different activities (beach patrol at night to find nesting turtles, beach patrol during the day to find new nests and monitor the registered ones, cacao making, reforestation, education). They were very kind and always there to help if anything unexpected happened. I really recommend this experience, there's so much to do and they need more volunteers to help sea turtles and the rainforest!

Absolutely loved this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat! Andrea and Diego are so welcoming and friendly and I learnt a lot from them. All the activities were incredible including monitoring sea turtle nests, planting new trees in the jungle, teaching the local scouts about the reserve, harvesting cocoa, coconuts, oranges and yuka and visiting the giant mangroves. I stayed for 2 weeks and it flew by! Including a weekend trip to Mompiche, a local surf village, which was nice and relaxing. The only thing I would say is the everyday schedule is very relaxed so expect to be relaxed.☺
