I spent a year travelling the world from 2015 - 2016. I started with teaching computer classes at a summer camp in the Catskills Mountains of New York for 2 months, followed by 6 weeks of travel in the states. After this I travelled and volunteered throughout Asia.
One of the highlights was staying with a local family and teaching English to children in a village just outside Siem Reap.
Exploring the amazing waterfalls and beaches of the Philippines was also a highlight. The locals were so friendly and welcoming.
I spent a couple weeks at an eco project in Thailand where we made mud bricks, mosaics and learned about Buddhism.
I also volunteered as a language partner at an English College in Yangshuo, China. During our time off we explored the amazing scenery by bike.
