La Experiencia

Seeking a single (or couple) conscientious, responsible and capable volunteer, to help with various landscaping and plantation projects. Experience with power tools preferred as is willingness to work unsupervised from 6am-11am 5 days per week. Full board and a separate self-contained clean accommodation provided. Flexibility and responsible work ethics a MUST! If you can't live during working hours without your mobile, don't apply.

My stay with the farm and Faroukh was absolutely wonderful! They're the sweetest stewards of the land and have tons of knowledge about nature, plants, construction, the land, earth, history and life in general! It was a truly great experience staying two weeks with them and I'll never forget their generosity and how they opened their home to a complete stranger like me. I learned a ton about plants and trees, some new tricks about construction and repair work and we shared tons of laughter and great food! I highly recommend this Worldpackers opportunity to everyone!

The farm was so kind and welcoming from the very beginning. She felt just like my real grandma, and I was able to feel at home. Her cooking was absolutely amazing — so good that I sometimes felt guilty eating such delicious meals for the amount of work I did! I was surrounded by real nature away from the city. It was a bit challenging to get used to a lifestyle different from city, but the farm took me to fishing and beach, so I could enjoy my free time as well. I think this place is especially great for those who drive. Of course, it's totally fine even without a car!

I planned to stay with the farm for a week and ended up staying for three because I enjoyed it! the farm truly welcomes you into her home like extended family and the property is beautiful. If you work hard you will be rewarded with delicious lunches and groceries for you to prepare your own dinner/breakfast. I truly felt like I was getting a taste of Australian life and I really enjoyed refurbishing furniture, helping with renovation work and tidying. On rest days the farm took me fishing or to the local beach and the evenings are chilled with films.

My friend and I had the best time staying with the farm! Her property is lovely but she is the true gem at DreamAcres. She is extremely generous: taking us to see local places, letting us borrow her car, cooking amazing meals for us, and even allowing us to stay in her bedroom while her usual guest space was occupied. the farm had the most interesting stories and a lot to teach us about life on land- I feel as though I left her farm with a healthier mindset than when I arrived. The work itself here is matched to your capabilities, I recommend to anyone who's willing to put in effort!

The farm made us feel welcome right off the bat! She made us feel like family and told us to make ourselves at home in the kitchen whenever we feel like. She was also kind enough to let us use her car whenever we wanted (brave because we're American and not used to driving in the left, but all went well!). She even let us take her room to have two beds. The workload was as promised, if not a little lighter because she knew we are new to the whole farm life, but we still learned a lot and got to plant our own goodbye trees! Also, the dogs are amazing :). I would definitely stay here again!

Oh Raegan‼️I miss your giggles already!!! As for more work - well, I didn't have the heart knowing neither of you did any prior farmworkers! But you both did an amazing job with the shrub pruning🙏❣️ Possibly a bit more skill needed to clean a 5.8m glass wall smudge free🤣🤣‼️❣️👍
