Realizamos esta actividad en nuestra primera semana en Sri Lanka, ¡y no pudimos haber tomado una mejor elección! Esta experiencia nos permitió ser parte de la cultura local, a través del día a día del Bahnte responsable del monasterio donde nos quedamos. Las atenciones del Bahnte y los voluntarios fueron siempre buenas, y nos daban actividades dependiendo de los compromisos que tuvieran. Una de ellas fue participar en una ceremonia budista en una casa de locales, y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. El voluntariado en las escuelas fue maravilloso, y los docentes siempre buscarán ayudarte.

An incredible experience to learn more about Buddhism, meditation, and Sri Lanka as a whole! They were so welcoming and offered really nice accommodation along with amazing food! We were taught everything we needed to know and supported to ask any questions we had, making this a perfect opportunity whether you're new or already familiar with Buddhism and meditation. We even got to tour around to see a bunch of temples, meet locals, and I got to teach English to the little monks at their school which was so much fun! I couldn't recommend this experience more!

My experience at the temple was mind blowing. The temple is surrounded by exotic nature, yet close to the city. You will have time to immerge yourself within the local culture, the bouddhist life and cults, but even more especially with yourself. I was planning on staying for a week but I ended up spending almost two weeks there. The place is so peaceful, meals are delicious and generous. Last but not least, the monks are really welcoming, opened for discussion and will guide you all day for your the Center discovery journey. I will come back. Thank you every one. I am forever grateful.

I spent one special week at the temple here. Everyone I met was so kind and hospitable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. I learned so much here about meditation, Buddhism, and the local way of life in Sri Lanka. I felt really immersed in the community and culture and could not ask for a better experience. I was blown away by everyone's kindness and willingness to share their life with us. Every day was something new and exciting! Thank you!!

Staying here was a wonderful experience. The hosts and everyone else we met there were very welcoming, generous, and kind. They brought us along with them to be immersed in Sri Lankan culture and went out of their way to show us unique things about their beautiful country. I truly appreciate the peace and learning I experienced on this stay!

I spent just four days at the monastery with the monks. On Sunday, I had the opportunity to go to the Center school, where there were lots of children to talk to and teach them English. I visited a beautiful temple and enjoyed the village and the surrounding nature. In the evening, I had excellent meditation. The food was also delicious... authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. I truly enjoyed the peace and relaxation. Highly recommended.

Priceless. this experience was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, i already hope to plan another trip back. if anyone is thinking about coming to visit this temple, i 1000% recommend it to anyone. you feel like a fly on the wall in the local life and its the most authentic experience you could have here. i learned so much more about Buddhism and meditation. i'm leaving this place with a full and grateful heart. the facilities are wonderful, life is simple, and you won't regret a visit here. i can't wait to return to Sri lanka. Thank you for everything

Passei 4 dias no mosteiro e foi muito bom para descansar, quarto confortavel e limpo. Cozinha perfeita e as comidas muito deliciosas ( o cafe da mnha é bem diferente com arroz e dhal) e muitas frutas tropicais a vontade. Os monges foram bem gentis. A unica dificuldade é que o clima local é muito quente e temos que usar roupas que cobrem todo o corpo....

It was an amazing stay! The facilities are modern and the food they serve is really rich and delicious! You actually don't have to work anything, if you want, you can help the English teacher at the local school nearby. The monks showed us some temples and we meditated together. The only thing I can critisize is that we could not learn about buddhism itself, the monk who organises this stay is currently not in Sri Lanka, and the other monks are really kind and willing to help but their English is bad, so they couldn''t answer our questions or explain something about their culture.

Bhante Wasa, Bhante Vihari and Bhante Sara gave me such a warm welcome and I felt instantly welcome. I had the opportunity to learn a lot about life as a monk and about Buddhism. Each day was filled with wonderful activities like cooking and dance classes, temple visits and volunteering at schools to support English lessons. The daily traditional meals were also absolutely delicious! I'm truly grateful for this meaningful experience and can highly recommend the project to anyone. Thank you for this enriching experience!
