I had a wonderful time at Koko, had the chance to meet locals and international travelers, good atmosphere between volunteers which makes the stay even better. Tasks are straightforward and hours were respected. Thank you Michi!

My experience at the hostel in Paracas was truly unforgettable. Staying here was the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. I met absolutely incredible people that I hope to stay friends with forever. Immediately upon arriving I felt so welcomed, I was invited to hangout with and go out to dinner by the other volunteers. Every night we had a different and fun activity, and you are encouraged to participate and have fun. I truly felt like a part of the family. The hostel is beautiful, clean, and plays excellent music:) I am immeasurably grateful for this experience. Thank you

I had the most amazing experience volenteering at the hostel. i 1000% recommend. the staff, the locals, and the other volunteers were so welcoming, kind and fun! everyday was a new adventure! the work was very easy and i didn't even feel like i was working, we were allowed to participate in all activities even on the clock!! i am forever greatful for my time at the hostel! it is truly my home away from home, at koko they always say “home is a feeling not a place” and that was so true💞 thank you so much michelle for this amazing opportunity, love you forever and ever🫶🏻

Abby, you were a fabulous volunteer, always sweet, sentimental and very kind. You fulfilled all your assigned activities, always responsible and willing to learn. You connected with the people and participated in all the activities. Remember that home is always the people who make you well and take care of you. The best volunteering you can get!! As soon as I arrived in the hostel I was welcomed with open arms. Michi and her whole team make sure you feel safe and welcomed during your whole stay. The work at the bar was super fun and everyone has a lot of patience with you. They give you time to learn everything and trust you with your task. Home is a feeling not a place - a quote that definitely is lived by the whole the hostel Team!! Muchas gracias Michi para darme un hogar en ese lugar tan especial💗

The most welcoming and wonderful volunteering experience. Everyone working there wants you to have a good time - we were encouraged to join the beach volleyball and soccer games, participate in beach clean-ups, practice slacklining, invited to go on a catamaran ride, and even got to go sandboarding. Moreover, the actual work is FUN. Every night has something different and Michelle encourages you to participate in the trivia, karaoke, zumba lessons, or salsa lessons even if you are on the clock. I made mistakes on more than one occasion and never felt judged or ashamed. 11/10 recommend.

Tive a experiência de voluntariar na cozinha, onde aprendi muito com a Chef Fátima e com o Chef Victor, incríveis! Estão sempre dispostos a ensinar o que você quiser aprender. Equipe de voluntários e funcionários todos muito boa onda, desde a praia, bar, cozinha, limpeza e recepção. Estrutura muito boa, piscina e comida. Infelizmente tive que encerrar antes do prazo por motivos pessoais e fiquei alguns dias como Hóspedes, porém pelo tempo que fiquei gostei muito da experiência que foi trocada e pelo que aprendi!! Muito obrigado!!

The hostel was a blast to volunteer at. The volunteer jobs are strait forward and as advertised. Also it was very helpful place to practice spanish as all of the employees are native spanish speakers and the clientele is predominantly local. It's also a great way to ge to know the local area and people as a lot of locals hang out at the hostel bar and are extremely friendly. It's a very immersive experience and I highly recommend it.

The bar staff are the most funny, welcoming and warm hearted people. They really make you feel as part of the team from day one. Since not all of them speak English, I would recommend some Spanish skills to be able to improve your relations. Sadly during my stay the previous Bar Manager Michi has moved on to work at the newly opened the hostel in Huacachina. The new manager is also friendly, but he expects volunteers to mainly do dishes, so you shouldn't have a problem with that. Nevertheless i really enjoyed the work and the party. Paracas itself is a cute but really small village.
