My partner and I stayed with Geo & Guile for 2 & 1/2 weeks. Geo & Guile are so welcoming, friendly and informative. They took us out multiple times to try local Poblano foods at their favourite spots in town (all very yummy!) Work was as advertised, I worked in the kitchen which was great for me learning all the local foods (& the Spanish words for most foods). Geo is a great chef & even shared some of her yummy recipes ☺️ Accomodation is comfortable and shared kitchen was sufficient. Overall would highly recommend to someone, who is looking to fully immerse yourself in the Poblano culture.

What an amazing first worldpackers experience! Geo and Guile have set the bar high! They are such a fun, welcoming couple that love to teach you about Puebla and Mexican culture! They took us out multiple times for food and were full of recommendations! We really felt like we created a life long friendship with their whole family! As for the work, I helped in with their maintenance and housekeeping which was simple and some days I helped Geo's mother ( who is lovely) move some furniture and help style the tortas shop which I found very fun and it was more like helping rather then working!

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I really enjoyed it. The work was very interesting and varied. It was a bit complicated at first because I don't speak Spanish. But after a few days I had already learned a lot of Spanish words. The hosts are very kind and we were able to taste several Mexican specialities. Puebla is a nice city to stay in for several weeks. Gracias !

Working with Geo and Guile was a pleasure! I stayed for 2 weeks and I'd think it's the minimum to get comfortable in the kitchen (if it's your first time) and have enough time to visit Puebla which was lovely!! They have a rule system well implemented and is fair. They also provide for a bit of food and we had the opportunity to try Pueblan specialities with them! Gracias Geo y Guile!

Guile and Geo were wonderful to me right from the start. Their house is beautiful and the work is fun. They're kind, generous and hospitable. This was my first worldpackers experience and it couldn't have been better! I can't wait to come back!

Let me start by saying, I didn't want to leave—that might be the best place to begin. The moment I stepped into the magnificent the home in Puebla, I sensed I belonged there. This feeling comes from someone who took a significant—almost—blind risk by embarking on this adventure. To anyone hesitant about taking such a leap, I wholeheartedly encourage you to do so. Guile and Geo exceed expectations in assisting your transition to life in Puebla, providing support at the Torteria, all leaving a lasting impression that hints at a potential return. ALV soy Poblano!

First , there is no explanation on this app though, you have to give 500 peso to the owner as deposit in the case if you break something even unintentionally ( which I lost all 500 pesos because I broke rusty key on the door) You can't get breakfast here, but small snout of veges , bread and fruits for sharing with all stuffs . Normally it's gone in a couple days and you never get them again . Host told me they want volunteers to have small amount of breakfast as they can't afford to do more Wish you all luck with the place!!

YES it is an explanation about the $500 pesos deposit to get the set of keys. The key we gave you wasn't rusty at all; I can send proof of it if requested by a host. You broke the key because you forced it. You could have contacted us when having trouble with opening the door and we would have been very pleased to help you inmediatly. The breakfast we include is a lacto-ovo vegetarian rationed pantry replenished every week (but you didn't stay that longer with us to see it); this information is also in the explanation and we also say it to you the moment you arrived to our home. Some volunteers use this pantry not only for breakfast but for lunch and dinner too. Maybe that is why it was over too soon. That is why we tell our volunteers the pantry is only for breakfast. We can afford to give you hot water for showers, fast internet access, gas for cooking hot meals, food for breakfasts, drinks for meetings or parties and a lot of other things too, but it seems you never didn't appreciated all of this. Also you need to improve your communication skills both in spanish and english; maybe that is why you didn't understand a lot of things that were happening. Good luck too.

Volunteering in Puebla, Mexico, making tortas was a joyous journey. The owners, incredibly kind, not only shared culinary expertise but also took me out to drink, facilitating meaningful connections with the locals. These personal touches enhanced the overall experience. The program provided insights into Puebla's culture. Personal growth, meaningful contributions, and connecting with locals made this a transformative experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a volunteer opportunity.

My experience at the home was so good! The host were so caring and always made sure that myself and the other volunteers were comfortable and taken care of. The work was exactly as listed, I spent my mornings taking care of the plants and common areas and keeping everything clean and tidy. Both the host always had recommendations for how to spend my days after my work days. I would 100% recommend volunteering here if you're in the area! Thank you so much Guile and Georgina for the opportunity to experience Puebla!
