I had a great experience staying here. The host was amazing and always respectful of my time. Tenzing helped me around town and gave great recommendations. The kids were absolutely lovely — respectful, fun, and such bundles of joy. Almost every week I joined trips with them, like waterfalls or mountain hikes, so even without planning I still got to see a lot of Nepal.

I spent here two weeks, Tenzing is a kind host and he gave us buddhist classes for free! I didn't teach in the monastery, because it requires a one month staying. The main task in the morning/afternoon was to help making the jewels and selling them in the shop. After that I would stay with the kids, help with their homework and just enjoy the time with them: the best moment of the day! Since the routine was flexible, I could also visit the city. It is a great opportunity if you want to immerse in the nepalese culture and help in a very good project! Thank you Tenzing for the opportunity!

I stayed at the project in Kathmandu for two weeks. Tenzing was a wonderful host, and I felt at home from the very beginning. The children were incredibly sweet, and I helped them with homework, mainly in English and math, as well as spending time playing games and doing other activities. Helping them with their homework never felt like a chore; it felt more like spending meaningful time together. I also had the chance to take classes in Buddhist philosophy and meditation, which was very valuable to me and my experience. Overall, a wonderful volunteering experience!

I had such an amazing 4 weeks here. Tenzing is a fantastic host - really went above and beyond to answer all my many questions, introduce me to local life, and set me up to take Buddhism courses. I took 4 courses (2 at the monastery with the kindest monks and 2 taught by Tenzing): yoga, meditation, mantras, philosophy. It felt like living with a family here, and I loved spending time with the six children. I taught English to the kids after school and also spent a lot of time playing and talking with them. I feel lucky to have gotten a very local and special experience.
