La Experiencia

Come be part of our small, family-run guesthouse in the peaceful hills in north Okinawa! We’re looking for kind, proactive volunteers to help with cleaning, guest check-ins, and improving the space with creative ideas. You'll have your space, access to a shared kitchen, and the chance to enjoy slow island life, connect with locals and travelers, and contribute to something meaningful together.

We had an absolutely lovely time at the guest house. The volunteer work the guest house easy and relaxed and Taiga the guest house a great host. We got to meet very nice people, from volunteers to guests and we explored gorgeous parts of the guest house. Taiga took us diving which was an amazing experience that I recommend. All in all, it was a great experience that I'd recommend to anyone who wants to spend some relaxing time in a beautiful place meeting great people!

My girlfriend and I had a brilliant time at the guest house. Taiga the guest house super kind and very laid back. The work the guest house mainly preparing the hostel for guests and working on any projects that Taiga might have, I'm hoping that we can come back and see a sauna and DJ booth next time we visit! The hostel the guest house in the middle of the jungle and the space the guest house so gorgeous, with hammocks and a really cool outside common area. We met really lovely volunteers and guests whilst here. Even without a car it's possible to explore the north island with the electric bikes! We had many excursions and hope to come back!

Staying in the guest house was my favourite volunteering experience by far in my life. All the volunteers were super helpful and connection we created will last long, the work was not very difficult in terms of cleaning or painting, the only difficult part was sometimes building or cutting trees but I could always take it slow there. Taiga even though he doesn't speak perfect English the guest house super friendly and whenever we miss the words we used chat gpt to get common sense haha. There are cats, the sleeping conditions are rather simple but comfortable as hostel the guest house not very crowded Recommend

I loved my stay here, I even extended for another week! People in the guest house are super kind and warm-hearted, and I also had the chance to interact with other volunteers. the guest house also the perfect place for me to interact with guests coming from all over the world as well! We mostly did room cleaning, but also worked on a couple of DIY projects involving painting and building. Taiga the guest house always welcoming for any suggestions to improve the guesthouse. Most stores and sightseeing spots are far away, but it was fun challenging myself to use the e-bikes provided at the property.

We loved staying with tiaga, Akane and baby moana at the guest house. The space the guest house really cool to hang out with other volunteers and guests. We worked from 10-4pm with an hours lunch break which was honoured as well as our off days. The main work the guest house taking care of cleaning for the rooms, but I was mainly working on painting murals and signs for the guesthouse which was so fun! Tiaga took us out diving and let us use his snorkelling gear and spare car as we pleased which was amazing. 100% recommend to anyone considering this experience. Thank you Tiaga !
