Tant de bonheur, de bonne humeur, de rires et de délires : c'était incroyable ! L'endroit est superbe, les tâches sont diversifiées et sans pression. Alex est disponible et à l'écoute à tout moment. Très contente d'avoir pu l'aider dans les tâches du quotidien et l'amélioration du lieu. Chaque jour était génial en sa compagnie et avec le reste de la team de volontaires 😍

I really enjoyed my stay at La Comarca!! The host Alex was super the lodge and flexible and put in so much effort! I met wonderful people, the place was clean and cozy, always enough food and enough space for yourself in your own small room. There is even a car for the volunteers It was surrounded by nature, birds and a river where you can swim in and there was a lot to see and do around Quepos! The work was totally okay, preparing breakfast for the guests, cleaning the domes after and taking turns in who cooks for everyone! It was really fun and great, I absolutely reccommend it!

Loved everything about my time at La Comarca. Alex is the man! If you want to learn how to do something, he will teach you or give you the opportunity to learn. There's a variety of tasks to do every day so everyone can get involved, from helping to build domes to painting signs. You also get a lot of time to hang out with other volunteers, which makes the experience 100% worth it. I highly recommend it for anyone who's wants to meet people, reconnect with nature, learn, and have a good time. I only wish I could do it again!

Gracias por todo Alex!! This experience was one of the best moments of my life. I loved helping to build the domes and spend time with the volunteers. I recommend this volunteer project to anyone who is looking for a good time all while having the chance to learn about so many things!! DA DA DA ;)

Had a really great time at La Comarca! Full immersion in Spanish, which was a bit challenging at first, but you get used to it quickly and learn so much. It's a beautiful area near the jungle and the river. You get to fully participate in Alex's project whether it's cleaning, helping build a dome, or extending a parking spot, for example. 😌 I also had the chance to try mate for the first time! Alex is super nice, he makes you feel right at home. I'd absolutely recommend this experience and hope I can come back soon ! Loved it !

Choosing La Comarca to do my first volunteering was the best decision. The place is beautiful. The tasks are simple and fun. We have free time that we usually use to do activities together and get to know new places. Alex is a great host, he made us feel at home from the first moment. Highly recommended :)

Volunteering here was a deeply rewarding experience where I felt connected to both nature and a great group of fellow volunteers. We shared daily tasks, cooked together, and enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. The work was easy and our free time was respected. Although the beach was farther than I expected we still managed to visit it several times. During my stay Alex was away and his friend Marco was managing the place. Some of us had concerns about his communication, organization, and behavior toward women. Overall the experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I made lifelong friends.

Hi Isa, I’m surprised to read your comment, as I always try to maintain a cordial and fair attitude toward all volunteers. I wish you had shared your concerns with me at the time, since we had many good moments together and I never imagined you might have felt that way. Perhaps there was some misunderstanding with a few corrections I made, but there was never any other intention. If any confusion arose, I sincerely regret that it happened.

Overall I loved my experience at La Comarca! The work was fairly easy and the other volunteers quickly became like a second family. I had some issues because the regular host, Alex, was gone for the entire time. Marco was great, but there often wasn't great communication about when we were supposed to work or what we were supposed to do. I was also disappointed because we never went to the beach. Also I got mold on a lot of my items because the rooms are so humid, so be careful if you come! But as a whole I would definitely recommend the experience and I wish I could've stayed longer!

Overall, I loved being at La Comarca! My fellow volunteers were amazing and we all got along! The work was usually communicated the day of, and usually was within the three hours of working. The location was also great, being close enough to town, and along a refreshing river. The volunteer rooms were ok to be in, except they are not super well-ventilated and many of my things got moldy. The main thing to be improved would be mature communication about work and expectations. Alex was gone while I stayed at La Comarca, which was maybe the reason for the problem. Great experience overall though
