Programa detallado
By participating in an internship within a vibrant healthcare setting, you will enhance your skills while gaining valuable insights into the healthcare challenges faced by a developing nation.
Highlights :
• Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Ghana while positively impacting the health of the local population by working in a public hospital or clinic.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gain practical experience in a real-world setting.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape in a developing African nation.
• Connect with fellow travelers from around the globe who share a commitment to a common cause.
• This program is an excellent opportunity for students in midwifery, medicine, and nursing.
• Discover the capital city of Accra and explore other destinations such as Cape Coast and Kakum National Park.
• Participate in a medical internship in Ghana, where you will have the chance to work in public healthcare facilities that often face staffing shortages relative to patient demand.
• The Ghanaian government has been striving to enhance primary healthcare services, yet the large population presents ongoing challenges. In rural regions, modern healthcare facilities are scarce, leading many to rely on traditional African medicine or travel long distances for adequate medical care.
Your duties will vary based on your knowledge and skills. Medical students will primarily observe healthcare professionals and assist with daily operations. You will have the opportunity to work across various departments, including general medicine, emergency care, dentistry, eye clinics, pediatrics, and maternity services.
