I had a great time during my stay! The hosts are a big family, and Sabrina and Jonas were very welcoming. The full time staff at the restaurant is very friendly and sociable as well. The hosts provided wonderful accommodations with private bedroom and full service bathroom/kitchen. Everything was neat and tidy! The work was standard for restaurants. A car was provided which volunteers were able to take out into the small towns nearby on our days off. The hosts cooked wonderful family meals as well! I would definitely recommend Skalsjogarden :)

Volunteering at Skalsjogarden was a dream. Jonas and Sabrina took great care of me. My responsibilities were always clear and they provided everything I needed. I felt welcomed and appreciated. I am sad to leave.

The whole experience was awesome! Sabrina and Jonas were great hosts, they were very accomodating and helpful with understanding the tasks to complete, and also with giving advice to how best enjoy the area with our time off. I would recommend Skålsjögården to anyone who wants to volunteer, or to go there for a holiday!

I had such an amazing time at Skälsjögården! It was my first ever Worldpackers and it was unforgettable. Sabrina & Jonas are great hosts, and I instantly felt welcomed and apart of their family. The staff facilities were nice and the beds are comfortable. I actually loved the work, especially because it was different most days. Sabrina and Jonas were really great with giving us extra time off if we worked overtime. The surrounding nature is absolutely stunning, there's some nice walks to go on after work or on days off. This place will always have a special place in my heart.

I had a wonderful stay at Skålsjögarden. Jonas and Sabrina are super welcoming and you will quickly feel a part of the family. They have a lot of nature all around the lodge that you can easily discover during your free time. A lot of different tasks need to be done so it never gets boring!! I liked the family and the kids a lot:)

Very very friendly familiy, I felt home very quickly and could meet other amazing volunteers. The tasks were always nice to do and the place just looks amazing, being in the middle of the nature was very relaxing. I absolutely recommend it!

I had an amazing time at Skålsjögården! The whole family is really friendly and welcoming, as well as all the other people I met - you instantly feel part of the team. I liked the private room, it was really cozy and clean. During my stay I learned many new things and I also got the chance to see the northern lights. This was one of the best volunteering experiences I had. I really recommend it!

The time i spent in Skålsjögården was great! Everyone was really nice! Jonas and Sabrina, Geoff too, and also the other volunteers! When i was there Sabrina's parents came for a few days and they were lovely people too! I really recommend the place, everything was as said, my private room was great, as the entire volunteers building. The work wasn't hard or heavy at all, and the mood wasreallly good, i felt comfortable all the time. It was a great experience! I'd love to come back in the future :)

I had an absolutely amazing time staying at Skälsjögärden. Jonas and Sabrina were very friendly and welcoming. They always made sure that everything was alright for us volunteers and made sure we enjoyed our stay. I got to experience so many things such as seeing the northern lights, snowmobiling or snowshoe hiking. The work was easy and the tasks were varied. It was a memorable time for me and I'd totally recommend staying at Skälsjögärden. Thank you for making my time in Sweden unforgettable and thanks for the amazing experience.

I spent 6 weeks at Skålsjögården - and so should you :) The family is very welcoming and I instantly felt like a part of the team. On our free days, we were able to experience everything the swedish winter has to offer and also explored nearby cities by car to go second hand shopping. Having a house and rooms of our own also made relaxing a lot easier. Usually, we worked 5 days a week (~ 3 - 5 hrs on weekdays, ~ 6 - 8 hrs on weekends). The tasks were versatile and I loved working in the kitchen with Libby and Sabrina, it sometimes didn't even feel like work because we had so much fun!
