The hostel is a whole world made of amazing people making their best to give the guests the best experience ever. I worked in the kitchen and the work was quite thought... but I got the possibility to learn a lot about local culture. Overall the experience was excellent.

Hostel bem organizado, limpo e confortável. As refeições cedidas são deliciosas. Lugar de super socialização. Os horários foram respeitados, mas senti que precisa de uma melhor distribuição das tarefas entre staff e voluntários (bar). No dia em que cheguei fui informada que já iria começar a trabalhar, e ao meu ver, não me parece justo já que chegamos cansados de viagem; isso foi pontuado, porém não sei se irá mudar, então sugiro que você como voluntário pergunte previamente para que consiga descansar pós viagem, tal qual teu horário de trabalho. No mais, é um lugar divertido para estar.

I had a lot of fun with some amazing volunteers I had the pleasure of meeting on my stay. The hostel is clean, spacious and with everything you need. The location is absolutely amazing. Central, close to everything, but it gets kind of noisy at times. Unfortunately, a couple of the staff there have a passive-aggressive behavior, which does not contribute to a nice environment. It was especially weird that at times some staff felt like if the volunteers were having fun, they were not doing their job. After all, volunteers are also there to enjoy their time. Most people were very nice.

Volunteers are definitely encouraged to enjoy their time here. The exchange is meant to be fun and enriching, but it’s also important to respect the basic rules that help everything run smoothly.

Definitely loved the team and especially the other volunteers! I would recommend that future volunteers have a basic proficiency in Spanish to communicate with the hostel staff and most of the other volunteers. That being said, I had lots of fun and the team was respectful and accommodating when my phone broke and I got sick :)

Volunteering with the hostel was a great experience to learn some local culture, immerse in the Spanish language and to practice your bartending skills. It was fun and we often participated in hostel events: dancing, games, etc. The chef's made some brilliant meals and the sleeping quarters were adequate (though I would suggest they add some privacy curtains, which is becoming more common and appreciated in hostels). Overall, great time and accommodative staff!

A experiência proporcionada pelo hostel fizeram meus dias no hostel serem inesquecíveis! Fiz amizade com funcionários, voluntários e viajantes. Voluntariei dando uma mão na cozinha no turno da noite, o que me possibilitava ter o dia inteiro pra desfrutar da cidade. E mesmo depois de curtir o dia no hostel, quando eu entrava na cozinha, parecia que estava começando a melhor parte do meu dia, que time incrível! Além disso, o hostel tem uma localização massa, instalações sensacionais e comida que dispensa comentários. Saludos a Angelo, Diego, Dina, Steven, Giu, Fernando e ao time o hostel!

Para meu primeiro voluntariado, foi bom, mas esperava outra coisa. Pontos bons: a estrutura do hostel como um todo, os horários são respeitados, tarefas bem divididas, comida boa, e ambiente divertido (mas boa parte influenciada pelos viajantes). Pontos a melhorar ou que minhas expectativas não foram atendidas: me senti uma funcionária e não voluntaria, e o ambiente nao é familiar, é bem business mesmo. O que me salvou dessa sensação foram os viajantes internacionais que pude me conectar. E acredito que podem melhorar a regra de checkout para voluntários nos deixando permanecer no quarto.

As a first time volunteer this experience was amazing. The staff and other volunteers were very friendly and helpful. I was able to make friends with people from Peru, and also from all over the world. The meals offered were really good and high quality. Thankful to be able to experience volunteering at the hostel!

It was a really nice place with really nice people! I really enjoyed the city, and the location for the hostel was absolutely perfect. The coworkers and the volunteers that was there when I was there was super nice, and it was super fun being at work almost everyday :) The only thing that was really sad for my perspective was the lack of change in work schedule.. I know it could be a bigger job, but working 20-01 6 days a week, really kills of the possibility to be able to really experience the city at night as well. I even asked if it was possible to get a changing schedule, but no answer ://
