The project is an organization that helps children living in the slums who do not have the opportunity to go to school. It is a place full of amazing people, full of energy and love. They dedicate themselves to children who cannot study, and volunteers have the opportunity to provide them with basic education. What pleasantly surprised me was that every weekend, they organize a feeding program for all the children from the slum. It was an incredible experience to see and get to know their culture. Thank you, the project!

I spent 16 days in the project under the guidance of Joshua, Ruth, Mercy, Anthony and other members of SYI. It's hard to describe how amazing this trip was for me, the best way to sum it up is to just go yourself ! The organisation does an unlimited number of different activities and initiatives for the local people and children. The impact they make to their community truly is amazing. I felt so welcomed and looked after in every sense the whole time I spent in the project. The people made the experience for me and made it very difficult when it came time to leave. I will definatly be returning !

Volunteering with the NGO was a heartwarming experience. The children are absolutely wonderful – full of love, joy, and openness. They welcome you with so much warmth and are genuinely excited about every bit of interaction and attention. I also appreciated the chance to get to know different areas of other institutions in the mornings, such as a clinic and a private/public school. It gave me valuable insight into the wider work being done in the community. During my time the classes for teenagers were not running, but they are planned to resume once the new facility is completed.

The organisation is very well organised with a daily structure along with them being flexible to help you learn what you want to too such as learning how to make traditional foods. The organisation has something to help better the lives of all age groups. The host always made sure you were well looked after and safe. An amazing organisation and people to spend time with!

I stayed for approximately 3 weeks , and it was truly an experience of a lifetime. The kids were inspiring and a pleasure to work with , My host Ruth went above and beyond to make me and the other volunteers comfortable. Joshua also went out of his way to support and facilitate transportation for me when I spent the weekend away from the organisation.

It was a fantastic experience, Over the course of the 3 weeks I spent in the association, I was able to completely immerse myself in their culture and meet so many beautiful people. Having the opportunity to help children and the project in this project made me very happy, it is definitely an experience that will remain in my heart forever. I volunteered at SYI for four weeks and enjoyed every second at the organisation! The kids are absolutely amazing and Joshua was beyond helpful and welcoming! The house is really nice and Ruth is absolutely amazing I will miss her so much, she really made the experience 10/10 for me ❤️ I would highly recommend this experience if you're looking for a safe, beautiful, and amazing environment! Thank you so much for having me and teaching me so many life lessons ❤️

This was my first volunteer and I was full of fear and anguish, but from the moment I arrived I felt at home! I really recommend anyone who wanted to contribute to the organization to spend some time in the project, you will definitely feel loved, safe and happy.
