Becoming part of the school family was one of the best experiences of my life. Mama Savon and Channa are amazing, from day one they make you feel at home and the school in general is very kind and caring. The food is delicious, and being able to teach children, monks and teachers was incredible; In my case it gave me the opportunity to practice English and I had a lot of fun. Also, meditating and sharing with the monks and other volunteers, and learning Muay Thai with the locals was wonderful. To tell the truth, I think that what I learned was much more than what I was going to teach. 10/10

I've done so much volunteering and it was here that I had the most contact with the local culture. You will only see Thai people in this rural village, so you will learn about the local culture. And living in the temple is incredible! You will learn about Buddhism, see the monks' days and if you want you can meditate with them in the morning and afternoon. If you like Muay Thai, you can also train with locals near the temple. About the food, it's really delicious! And there are also other volunteers, so there is also someone to hang out with if you want. Love it a lot!

Teaching the school was a life changing experience and one that I will always cherish. Accommodations are comfortable, Mama Savon cooks amazing food, and most importantly the teaching experience is stimulating and rewarding. Living at a temple and being a part of the Phrai Phattana the school makes you appreciate simple things every day. I would recommend this experience to anyone interested in teaching English and learning more about Buddhism and rural life in Thailand. I'll always look back fondly on my experience the school!

Thank you for your feedback. We will try our best to improve everything's.
As a Cambodian, and having a school in Thailand is a bit complicated to us. We don't know that it will be so many activities as this. And the school were never have English class in this area before, English just don't exist to the kids here.
When we first come they just prepare an English classes. All of us want this village kids to have English experiences. That's our goal.

We would like to thank you for spending your precious time with us, and maybe come back again to have class for ET.

Best place to connect with local people! Savon and Channa were the sweetest people and treated everyone as part of their big family from the very beginning. Teaching monks is a one in a life time experience and teaches you so much. I met the best people there and everyday there were a lot of different activities. thank you for everything, I will miss everyone so much. ps. Savon's food is the best one you will try in Thailand

There were many student groups to teach, and the schedule was flexible as per agreement. The accommodation was really nice with AC, hanging racks, and other facilities such as a dining room, shared kitchen, and office. Additionally, the most memorable aspect of my stay was the kindness and helpfulness of the host - Savon's family. They were incredibly hospitable and always tried to connect all volunteers together with their hi 5 energy! I would recommend this opportunity to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in Thai local culture while contributing to social work like teaching!

Grateful. I shall start it with gratitude. My experience in the school Thailand (within the premises of Wat Phrai Phatthana) was totally amazing. The village kids, villagers, monks, nuns and everyone in the village are so welcoming, friendly and have a generous big heart. They are always appreciative to us (volunteer teachers). The village kids and monks attending the classes range from age 5 to 17 years old. We start from teaching and recapping on the basic english (ABC) and useful conversional dialogue. Mama Savon and Sister Channa are always paying attentive to our needs. Heartfelt wishes to all.

The experience the school was really pleasing. Especially the experience of teaching children was meaningful. The children were bright and lovely. I hope it helped them even though I stayed for a short time. I would also like to thank SAVON and many others who care a lot about the volunteers. Additionally, I think I'm very lucky that I was able to unexpectedly go to the school Cambodia and see Angkor Wat! 특별히 한국분들 중에 이곳에 오고싶은 분들이 계시다면 정말 추천드립니다. 관광지나 들를 곳이 많은 것은 아니지만 새로운 외국인 여행자들과 소통하고 의미있는 일에 동참할 수 있습니다. 종종 노을도 보러가고 사본께 부탁하면 잠시 캄보디아 들러서 앙코르와트도 갈 수 있으니 마냥 심심하지도 않습니다.

It was very fun to be there and to see all the different life styles that got together. I loved to teach the monks and schoolkids. Nice experience, even when things were a little unstructured, we got along very well.

Although my time the school was short, the hosts really made us feel welcome and treat us like their own family. It's such a great opportunity to be able to teach English to the children, teens and monks who are all very friendly.

It was a great experience, teaching local kids and young monks English was really great and I really enjoyed my time there. Other volunteers were great and sociable. Nice rural area, with Muay Thai gym nearby and an opportunity to join monks in their daily meditation. However, sometimes there was lack of communication about the classes and the schedule could be slightly confusing and changed very last minute.
