My time at Imogen's was truly amazing! It was my first work and travel experience and it couldn't have been better. The tasks were easy to understand (I helped out in the garden and house) and Imogen was so kind and attentive! I always felt welcomed and was never afraid to ask questions. I also got to join an English class and meet some lovely people, which was great! The city and the nature there are beautiful and definitely worth exploring, I'm really grateful for the time I spent there. LouLou, her sweet dog, made it even better! I'd recommend everyone to come to Lincoln :)

Volunteering at Imogen's was a priceless experience. She treated me like family and always showed warmth and kindness. She asked about my dietary preferences and cooked delicious meals for my pescatarian diet. Dining together and talking about British culture was both enjoyable and educational. Imogen values community deeply, and she invited me to a harvest supper at Lincoln Cathedral—an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, I fell ill and had to leave a few days early, for which I'm truly sorry. I deeply hope to return and stay with her again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

This experience was absolutely splendid, just like being at home.Imogen is exceptionally kind, gentle, open-minded, and always there to help me. She has been patient in communicating with me, teaching me English. My main task was helping with housekeeping, which was flexible and gave me plenty of free time, and she even suggested trips to nearby cities. Loulou is the sweetest dog I've ever met. Imogen's cooking is always delicious, and her family and friends are warm and welcoming. All in all, this has been an extraordinary British experience where I've learnt so much. So appreciate🧡

Getting to know Imogen, her home, and her lovely family has been a truly special experience. The city is beautiful, and Imogen took the time to show me so many wonderful places and even helped me with books to improve my English. She is such a kind and generous person, and Loulou is the sweetest Labrador :). We worked together on the bug hotel, and the garden turned out beautiful :) You and your family will always be warmly welcomed in Mexico. Thank you so much! 🫶🏻👋🏻

What touched me most during this project was the connection we built with Imogen. She wasn't just our host — she was like a heroine in our journey. She thoughtfully prepared meals, explained cultural details with great patience, and helped us understand not just British language, but also British life. Her kindness and warmth made the UK feel much closer and more human to me. Imogen showed me a beautiful life balance — family, community, and personal joy. I hope to carry that spirit forward and become a kinder, more thoughtful version of myself. I wish her all the best!

I never imagined I'd meet someone as warm, kind, and inspiring as Imogen. I still remember her bright, welcoming smile on the day I arrived. And just like that, fourteen days flew by. When Imogen took me to the train station on the day I left, I turned away, quietly saying goodbye in my heart to this little corner of Lincolnshire — and to all the kind souls I met here. Before I knew it, tears were falling. Thank you, Imogen, for all the care, kindness, and support. I think I will always remember this short but heartwarming summer holiday.

Imogen is the most wonderful host I could have wished for. Hospitable, helpful, interesting, inspirational. From fetching me and returning me to the train station when I arrived and left, to sharing her days and local trips and sightseeing with me, to making delicious meals and ensuring my time was really well spent, volunteering with Imogen was a truly fantastic experience. The tasks were easy, enjoyable and rewarding, and it was a real pleasure collaborating with Imogen. I would gladly have extended my stay if I could have, and hope to return to see more of Lincoln and surrounds too.

This experience was awesome! Imogen is truly special. I was the only volunteer in a short stay, but I still got to meet other travelers. Also, Imogen invited me to experience her English lifestyle, I met her lovely family and learn about her daily activities. The tasks were simple, like walking her cute dog LouLou, laundry, general cleaning, etc., however, I would love to do much more, because the work hours were flexible and didn't count them. Imogen helped me to improve my skills in English, she is very patient. And she cooks delicious English food at dinner. I felt at home :3

My time with Imogen in Lincoln was amazing! Imogen does a great job at making you feel welcomed and integrated into the house. She introduced me to her friends and family, who are lovely. The house is located in a great spot, you can get to anywhere in town from there! The work was simple and I had lots of time to go out and explore the city. My favourite part was getting to go on long walks with her dog, Loulou! I also loved getting to sit down with Imogen for dinner every night. Thank you Imogen 🩷

Lincoln is such a beautiful place! Imogen's house is big, comfortable, and cozy—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the moment. The food was amazing, and the whole atmosphere felt so peaceful. Imogen is an absolute angel—so friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. She even made a delicious dinner for the two of us and bought the materials we needed for our project. She also introduced me to her friends, which made me feel really welcomed. I highly recommend going there. It was truly a beautiful experience!
