What a unique project! There are tons of friendly animals roaming the property, nature to explore, and I especially liked spending early mornings at the fortress. I met a bunch of interesting people here that really inspired me. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to be immersed in Serbian culture!

This is a great oportunity to enjoy nature and meet with locals. Milos and the team know what is to be a volunteer and will help you and explain everything, also other volunteers that are here for longer will be supportive. The tasks are fine and they vary according to the needs of the place or your habilities. I most helped in the kitchen and the bar, but also doing some cleaning and picking stuff from the garden. Working hours were always agreed and they asked me what was ok because they can change during the days. It is a great property, but you have to know it is a kinda wild experience.

The project is an incredible place to volunteer if you are searching for a local experience and a beautiful nature place! At first it was a bit cunfusing about the tasks and working hours but after a quick chat with the host we agreed in the shift that worked best for both. I was helping at the café and in the garden, and sometimes I'd also help in the kitcken preparing meals for the group and guests. The place is very beautiful, with the amazing castle and a waterfall, crucial for the heat waves in summertime. I recommend it if you want a hardworking place and immerse in serbian culture

The first place I came to in Serbia was the project, they welcomed me so well that my thoughts about Serbia are completely positive. They gave me good opportunities for gardening and everything I needed was provided, together we made a magnificent vegetable garden. The tasks are simple and understandable, the hours of duty are observed, overtime is paid (this is a good opportunity for many backpackers) the food is very delicious, Luka chef is very successful, he knows how to make everyone happy. Thank you Maglic, I will be back as soon as possible

Magličgrad is the perfect place to connect with nature. Milos, the host, is very flexible, open to communication and always taking care of your needs. You have the chance to meet the very amazing locals and to live the true Serbian culture. Tasks are simple: feeding the animals, cooking, keeping areas clean and tidy, preparing drinks for visitors, picking garbage, etc. Thank you Miloš. (:

Maglić Grad in Serbia was absolutely wild! Miloš, the host, along with Nikola and Miloš's sister, fully immerse you in Serbian culture with amazing energy. They're super friendly, and the vibe is always fun and adventurous.🎯 The castle and waterfall look straight out of a movie 🎥✨, and every day feels like a new story with awesome people. If you're looking for adventure, culture, and the best company, Maglić Grad is the place. 10/10 experience! 🌍

I thought this was a unique place. However, I feel I was treated unfairly. I was quickly judged and told I didn't “fit the vibe”, and that having me there was like having an alien, among other unhelpful comments. I thought everything was going well, but I immediately felt unwelcome and labeled an outsider. There should be more understanding, open mindedness, and much better communication from the host. I don't doubt other people have had a great experience, but I think it heavily depends on whether the host likes you and decides that you fit in. My stay was also unfairly given “no show”.

Dear, Amanda.
We never wanted this to escalate so much.
You were very arrogant, judgmental and putting zero effort to help us. It was a very unpleasant experience for all of us since day one. For someone who travels to grow I suggest a bit more openness could help.
Also think about what you can offer to place before applying for it.

Everyone voted for it and you were politely asked to leave when you organize your travel dates. We hope you are able to learn something from this.
