Jun is a very sweet and welcoming man! He makes beautiful Japanese meals for dinner and was very accommodating for my vegetarian friend that was volunteering as well, The work is super easy and doesn't take much time, just mainly cleaning up the dishes and light house work and helping with the upstairs guest house (changing sheets and light cleaning of the rooms) when guests check out The house is 300ms from the beach, park, 7-11 and supermarket so in a very good spot. It's a very quiet neighborhood so a good place to go if you want to rest and have a lot of time to yourself

I had an overall good experience staying with Jun. He is a friendly and kind person. The food was amazing, even as a vegetarian! Another plus was that the workload was quite light, which gave me plenty of free time to explore the area. Since the place is on the countryside, it could maybe make you feel a little bit isolated, especially in winter when it's cold and rainy, so I was happy to have another volunteer there at the same time. Also, I would recommend to request pictures of the house beforehand, to get a better idea of the living situation and see if it matches your expectations!

Had a comfortable stay with them, thank you so much for making my first Worldpackers stay so good! Host is genuine, and I felt safe as a solo female traveler. He has a young daughter and a very sleepy mouse/hamster, both very cute. He seems genuinely interested in where you're from and even watched videos of the country he thought I was from beforehand. He also cooked delicious Japanese food for me to try. Room is traditional ryokan-style with tatami, a foldable single mattress and pillow. Aircon has heating for winters. Has a good view of Mount Fuji from the window too! Will def stay again:)

I had a lovely time staying with Junさん. The chores are as described on his profile, all very easy and not too time consuming. You'll have plenty of time to spend your day however you'd like. I loved getting a sneak peak into Japense the guest house and all the home cooked meals were an absolute highlight for me. I felt very comfortable during my stay and had a lot of fun chatting about all the differences between our cultures. Can definitely recommend.

This was one of the volunteering activities that I loved most. Jun is a spectacular host. He accepted my last minute request even though there was another volunteer on the way. He cooks wonderfully and I had the pleasure of enjoying delicious Japanese cuisine. He took us cycling and seeing the city and also hiking to see Mount Fuji. It was all very fun. The work is very good to do. My room was comfortable and had a beautiful view of the mountain. Near the house there is a beautiful beach and sunset to watch, an onsen minutes walking. The experience was truly incredible. Thanks for everythin

He's a super friendly and very respectful host. the guest house works were assigned as per description. Everything was pretty good and he cooked very well ! So, you won't starve. You will also have time to discover the nature nearby. It is indeed a good place if you want to experience the Japanese culture ! Last but not least, I would strongly recommend this programme to everyone who likes to explore Japan !
