La experiencia

We are looking for a team of volunteers interested in discovering one of the most traditional and ancient activities in Southern Italy: olive harvesting. At our farm, we harvest exclusively by hand, without the use of electric or invasive tools, just as it was done in the past, working together with simple rakes or by hand.

Our land is home to 9 ancient olive trees that produce excellent oil, which you will have the chance to taste yourself!

Programa detallado

The olive harvesting experience allows you to learn and observe how olive oil is made from the olives, including a visit to the local mill to see the production process.

What we expect from the volunteers is support in the olive harvesting, willingness to help with the various tasks related to the harvest, and the ability to spend time together, as olive harvesting is a group activity. Throughout the day, we chat, eat together, and it's wonderful to do so in a pleasant atmosphere.

It is important to note that for this experience, we offer accommodation in tents on our land, not in a house. On the land, it is possible to cook, use a compost toilet, access drinking water, and take a shower in the house.

Actividades & Turnos

Olive harvesting usually begins around 7 a.m. and continues until lunchtime, around 1 p.m. After the lunch break, you can rest on the land, on the hammocks available or have a shower and a stroll around. In the afternoon, those who wish to do so can optionally visit the mill and observe the entire olive oil production process.

Reglas

What we expect from the volunteers is willingness, support, and punctuality, especially in the morning. We are flexible with breaks, of course using common sense and respecting the group.
