I really enjoyed this volunteering Mirela and all her team were very kind, also my fellow volunteers made the stay good as well, they gave me simple tasks like supporting in the bar and I learned to develop some more skills. Thank you Mirella 🫶🏻

I really enjoyed my volunteer here, just an amazing and familiar hostel. You met people all around the world with great vibes and experiences you can learn from. I was doing social media content but I really enjoyed doing some other tasks like bartending, reception and helping out with other things. They also have another project which is a AI Full powered hostel, it was nice to know about the project and understand a little bit more about it, I will definitely come back. I met one great friend in here, Leo, I'll miss you bro. Mirella, the host, just amazing, really kind and so pasionated.

So glad to have gotten to come back to the hostel, even for such a short time! The family who runs the place is so lovely and welcoming and I really enjoy my time here.

My experience during this volunteer program was quite good. Even though I was in housekeeping, I was able to talk and socialize with many people from different parts of the world, which allowed me to practice my English—one of the main reasons I decided to go. Living at the hostel was great; both the owners and the other volunteers were always attentive and willing to help. Regarding the work itself, I went during a very busy season since it was December, so the workload was a bit demanding, but nothing overwhelming, you'll get used to it quickly

Best experience so far supposed to stay 2 week and extended for one more week, worked in the reception and the bar also the work is not tiring it's enjoying and fun you interacting with guests and travelers you never get bored at all always something to do around i come in a busy time (Christmas and new year so the hostel was so full and good vibes around the city) I usually took the evening shift from 5pm to midnight you get paid if u do extra hours but u not forced to do that, You have 2 days off per week where u can enjoy visit the rest of Belgium or even countries around,

I had a good experience, I met amazing people, both volunteers and guests, and the location is great. You even get free beer! That said, communication around schedules and tasks could be improved. I worked the night shift, and while the team was kind and open to communication, the workload wasn't distributed evenly among ever, which can affect motivation. The job can be demanding and you can have a lot of responsibilities, but it's also a great way to learn if you're curious about the hospitality world. I recommend the experience as long you're flexible and open to help where needed:) Thanks!

The experience at the hostel was a mix of feelings. We had many positive moments with the team (I especially thank Camila, Léo and Bogdan for making our days better). However, in relation to work, it is clear that the hostel uses the volunteering platform as a way to obtain cheap labor, avoiding hiring and paying employees. As a volunteer, you assume responsibilities that should be assigned to an employee, and the lack of organization ends up harming the functioning of the hostel itself. On the other hand, the city of Bruges is beautiful and charming, although a little expensive.

My experience volunteering at the hostel was truly rewarding. I met fascinating people and enjoyed culturally enriching moments in a beautiful city. The work was manageable, and the owners and managers were outstanding, kind, supportive, and approachable. This experience gave me wonderful memories and countless anecdotes that I'll treasure forever.

My experience at the hostel was amazing! The opportunity to work in such a welcoming and family-like environment was one of a kind. The tasks, although challenging, were varied and allowed me to learn a lot about the daily routine of a hostel. ~ Also they're always around to help you. ~ The flexible schedule provided a good work-life balance. Mirela, Stephane, David and family members were exceptional hosts, always willing to help and make my stay more enjoyable. The city of Bruges is extremely charming. I thank everyone at the hostel for these unforgettable weeks xxx

I've loved my time with the hostel: the month has flown by, and I've had a great time here in Bruges. Duties range from reception/bartending to housekeeping to prepping/serving in the breakfast restaurant, but they really try to take your preferred shift type and hours into account. You can expect to work the full agreed-upon 25 hours each week. I'd recommend this experience to Worldpackers who are motivated self-starters, able to work independently, who want to experience a bit of life as a local in Flemish Belgium. I had a great time and will definitely be back :)
