I had an amazing stay! the manager, other staff, guests and the environment were all super nice and accommodating. I think Osaka might be the best city in Japan to volunteer in. The working agreement gives a lot of free time to explore the city and even take multiple days to go to neighbouring cities like Nara or Kyoto. Overall it was a wonderful time and i highly recommend it!

Super expérience dans un hostel tres convivial ! Le travail est facile et pas compliqué du tout, les managers don't Shu sont très serviables, gentils, compréhensifs et très pédagogue. L'équipe de volontaires était top et l'emplacement et les équipements de l'hôtel étaient parfaits.

I really enjoyed my time in the hostel Showa. The group of volunteers made a pleasant stay. We could cook use the bycicles of the hostel. 3 days of work, depending of the day but was quiet fair for the 4 days free we got was good. The hostel is very small and there were volunteers to split the tasks. I stayed in another building which I think made my stay comfortable. There is a party once a month I really enjoyed it. . I would like to come back sometime. Shu who was the manager was kind and always there for any help. Thank you very much family of the hostel. :)

The hostel Showa is a very warm and welcoming place. I stayed there for 2 months. The work itself wasn't too tiring and was easy to get used to, with enough moments to take breaks during the 8-hour shift. Having 4 days off a week was amazing, especially since we could swap shifts with other staff to sometimes enjoy 4 days off in a row. This is a cozy, small hostel in an interesting historic neighborhood, where it's easy to make friends with guests and staff. Thank you so much Shu for letting me stay.

I had fantastic time at the hostel Showa. Shu is a really great manager and working only 3 days a week gives you an amazing opportunity for exploring Osaka and other cities. The place is quite budget friendly so keep that in mind if you are used to fancy accommodations. Overall I recommend this experience!

Manager Shu is a caring person, very professional about the job, and ready to help us volunteers when we needed it, always available even off work, and easy to get along with. After your experience you'll know you'll have a friend in Osaka and a home to return to!
