My experience at the school was good and I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience community life. The place is far from the city, so your experience is 100% centered on the school life. The facilities are comfortable and there will always be good food, but you must be willing to comply with the requirements of living in a community in addition to your 6 hours of work, such as rotating hours of cleaning, cooking, etc. The best thing about this experience is the work that CICD does around the world. I really admire this idea of collaboration for human the school its students.

My experience was extraordinary. Each of the people I met left a lasting impression on my heart.🥹🤍 It's an excellent volunteering experience, highly recommended. I left earlier than planned because once I was there, I realized I needed more time for myself and my tasks. It's important to keep in mind before applying that living in a community comes with additional responsibilities beyond the volunteering hours. I'm grateful to Marie and the entire amazing team at CIDC.

Amazing place to volunteer, meet new people around the world, practice language, have incredible experiences and get in touch with nature exploring unique places in north of England! Marie, Rolf, Rafaella and the entire team were so kind to me since I arrived and I found a place to disconnect doing what I like. Helping in the promotion area was incredible because I really like everything related to creating content for social networks. I was able to improve new skills and I just leave so grateful for this experience big THANKS!

Especialmente no começo. Eu fiquei mais com a parte dos gramados externos. Em alguns momentos fui para o jardim murado. Lá achei o trabalho mais leve. Fica a dica. As pessoas aqui são maravilhosas!

The team is friendly and always willing to help, which is very positive. However, the working hours are higher than stated on the platform. Instead of 30h per week, the average is 34.5h, plus 2–3 extra hours due to tasks before and after shifts, totaling 37h weekly. The 2 days off are not always fully available, as extra tasks are often assigned, limiting travel or personal activities. Remote work was challenging due to activities scheduled after shifts and on weekends. If you tolerate the cold, it can be a good experience, but note the heating is only on for 1h in the morning and 2h at night.

Our experience with this host was a bit discouraging, at first we felt happy and comfortable but in the end we felt insecure and out of place. Communication not the best. The rules need improved and the understanding of what a Worldpacker is something that should be improved. And finally the attention and tact on the part of the host is something important to improve, since they receive people from all over the world and the cultures are different like any other kind of coexistence, respect, trust, empathy, tolerance and communication are the basis of living in a community.
