La Experiencia

We are working on establishing a Food Forest in central Italy. As well as the Food Forest, there is a rental villa to manage, a cider orchard and a small vineyard. The work involved is extremely varied, including help with changeovers, planting, mulching, irrigating, grass cutting and weeding, harvesting, food preservation, woodland management and firewood preparation, wine making etc etc - all depending on the weather and time of year.

I have no enough words for this experience, Mandy and Andy have several hobbies which you can try with them, I did art, archery, knitting, baking, cycling and hiking ✨ and I was lucky that while I was there Mandy's family came and all of them made me feel comfortable and welcome, they took me for a dinner and to Gran sasso which was really nice, if you like nature and try new things i would say this place is perfect place for you. 🩷 about the work is mostly gardening, I was planning wines, tomatoes and cutting grass and you have almost all your afternoon free. Thank you😊

We lived for almost a month in Castelli in the company of hosts Andrew and Mandy, who welcomed us wonderfully into their home. The work was pleasant and varied, involving pool maintenance, painting, wood cutting, and gardening. On our days off, we explored various cities and trails in the beautiful Abruzzo region, enjoying excellent gastronomic moments—Mandy is a great cook! Additionally, Andrew took us to see snow for the first time, a unique experience in my life. We appreciate the opportunity and highly recommend it.

We spent three weeks in Castelli with hosts Andrew and Mandy (very amazing people and receptive) who welcomed us into their charming home. We performed various tasks such as pool cleaning, painting, wood cutting, and planting, with flexible schedules. On our days off, we explored cities, trails, and learned to produce alcohol and rosemary essential oil. Meals prepared by Mandy were delicious, and the bread was perfect. We shared gastronomic moments with people of different nationalities. Andrew took us to see snow, a unique experience for us. Grateful for the opportunity and highly recommend.

I stayed with Andrew and Mandy in Abruzzo. It was my first world packers experience and It exceeded all of my expectations! The place is beautiful and Andrew and Mandy are both very kind people with lots of interesting hobbies and are so knowledgeable is so many areas! I learnt so much in my 2 weeks. There is lots to do and a lot of variety between jobs so it keeps the whole stay interesting and fun! On our days off we went hiking, did art, made rosemary oil and alcohol and much more. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone and will always have such fond memories at the project. I

I had a lovely 2 weeks at Andrew and Mandy's place! They live in a very beautiful quiet place with breathtaking views over the mountains from Gran Sasso national park. I lived with a other worldpackers couple in a own house where we cooked our own food. Sometimes Andrew and Mandy came over for diner (or we went to their place) and that was lovely! They have very flexible working hours and don't start very early in the morning. Mandy baked delicious pastries! I would highly recommend this! (They are already familiar with worldpackers and had very good reviews but that was on another account🙈)
